God rules in heaven.

Satan rules the earth and the hearts of those lost (2 Corinthians 4:4).

God had to make a place where everyone not wanting to be in his love would be.

It was so bad even satan doesn't want to be there. He spends all the time trying to get everyone else there.

"Misery loves company" and surely many miserable people want other people to be miserable. They never rejoice at other people's accomplishments. They just think of ways to ruin them.

In hell, you do every evil you want to do because everyone will no longer have a conscience BUT everyone else does what they want to do. So they never build anything or accomplish anything. You still do drugs and drink but find no satisfaction whatsoever.

Everyone is hopeless and they are in constant suffocation but never find relief.

HJAL! That is a dangerous concept. I wouldn't spread that around. Christianity...is it the most arrogant religion? That may be an up and coming question. Or, the most prejudice against outsiders?

What is it called when one group cultivates hatred of another?
Calling people evil because they do not belong to your group, is that not cultivating fear, ignorance and hatred?

You tell me.

As for the 'question' here, my answer is to create an understanding of male authority. First it was the Goddess, although they don't mention her in Christianity...anscence...male over male authority even scarier and we are supposed to fear God after all yet God show compassion.

This would take a book to answer.

Power, hierarchy, allegiance, humility, protection.

Just the sort of thing a patriarchial soveriegn would want on earth i the old days! You serve me...I let you and your progeny live. Granted Gods' is eternal and compassionate but, there is a relationship.

First of all when Jesus received Kingdom power he hurled satan out of heaven . [Rev. 12:10 “Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God!"] Satan was not given his own Kingdom rather he was hurled down to the earth [Rev. 12:9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him."] There is no burning hell in which Satan rules. He will be abyssed during the 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ then he will (Rev. 20:3) "be let loose for a little while" then he will be destroyed forever. All those who side with him will also be completely destroyed. In the Bible, Hell/Sheol/Hades is the same place; the grave. It says that Ecc. 9:10 "there is NO WORK nor devising NOR KNOWLEDGE nor wisdom in She′ol, the place to which you are going."

The producers of this series of books were all hitting the holy water a little too hard. Somehow, they actually believed the stuff they were writing and convinced others to do the same. I'm not sure what's in that cup they pass around during communion, but whatever it is, it's strong enough to serverely hinder a person's reasoning capacity. I think it might be paint thinner or something like that. But it sure makes for some great zombies and zombie followers.

Just say NO!

In a point a view, god and satan are one being, instead of being god's wrath, it was satan's work, but since I don't believe in the bible, the answer may not count for much since man wrote the bible and there's no god or satan.

Let's see.

First understand that "religion" means community. Your religion is your faith community. Those who support you in your faith walk.

Faith is the relationship between you and God.

Let me try to address the question...

God made all things.

There was an angel, supposedly God's most beautiful angel. Who thought he'd set his throne higher than God's.

Oh, satan is the Hebrew word for adversary. Satan means adversary. The adversary of man. Not God. As it says in Revelation "For the accuser(the fallen one) of our brother's(man) is cast out - who night and day accused them before God. Satan is a job description. Not a name. Also Lucifer means Light Bringer. A nickname. Not a name. According to the Jewish Encyclopedia online his actual name is thought to be Samael - which means poison of God. The names for angels always end in EL which means God.

Some say he got kicked out of heaven when God announced his incarnation. After his incarnation, man would be held in higher esteem than the angels. The Light Bringer couldn't handle that. Refused to be lesser than man.

So yes. He got kicked out of heaven. But that doesn't mean he isn't allowed in. He just doesn't get to live there any more. Book of Job.

God did not "make a deal" with the fallen one. People choose. They choose heaven or they choose hell. They choose light, or they choose dark. They choose good. Or they choose bad. They choose paradise. Or they choose torment.

Why do people CHOOSE to go to one who HATES them above all things? I just don't understand that one.

It's not about following the rules. Jesus himself said there are a great many who follow the rules. And when they get to the gates of heaven he will say he does not know them.

What matters is keeping the law of God in your heart. LOVE. Love one another as he has loved us. That means being willing to die even for those who would kill you.

I think that your pre-suppositions about some articles of Christian faith and belief are inhibiting your understanding. My advice would be to bracket them (they are too facile and simplistic to render any meaning, and answering them will only bring cliches, not clarity), and examine first, the question of God's existence and nature. A great book for this is Mortimer Adler's "How to Think About God". It is not a book that is trying to convince you that God exists, but introduces the reader to some ways people have thought about God and his existence and his nature.

In terms of the articles of Christian faith and belief, there are numerous books which provide accessible accounts of what Christian think in terms of God, salvation, and God's relationship to creation (all that stuff about fallen angels that vexes you.) I would recommend C.S. Lewis, particularly "Mere Christianity" because he presents things well. Just remember, Lewis is a convinced Christian, so his perspective is that of a believer. Some people find this helpful, others find it off-putting and incomplete and prefer things written by sceptics. There is also an author by the name of N.T. Wright who wrote a little book called "Simply Christian."

Of course, you don't have to subscribe to these author's beliefs, but reading them might help you to understand what some folks believe and why.

What's the point?

hmmm....good question.

What do you hope for? What are you wanting to hear? Do you want permission to not believe? Do you think you will find a better answer without God?

I think you will find even more of that pointlessness you are so bothered by.

God likes Satan more than us. He even let Satan destroy God's favorite human, Job, on a BET! They conspire against us, work together to herd us into pens, and will eat our souls.

God wanted it so simple that a 2 year old could get it. God even said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." God made it simple.

Satan's kingdom right now is your world. When Adam disobeyed God and followed Satan - sin came into your world. God created hell for Satan and his fallen angels, but Satan doesn't want that kingdom. Satan likes being ruler of the world and destroying God's little people - you and me.
Because I believe in Jesus, Satan is a defeated foe to me. You understand "defeated foe" because you are a retired marine. However, you are serving Satan because you follow the world and not the Word of God. We can't serve two masters - God and man. We must choose. I have chosen God. Man hasn't shown me very much to think that he is worth following. God doesn't want to lose not one of us to Satan. Satan knows that his time is short and Satan knows that God always wins, but Satan keeps hoping that he can change God's mind about you and me. Satan wants to rule and reign with God, but God said whoever accepts His Son Jesus will rule and reign with Him.

Do you honestly think that you and I can follow the rules of the Ten Commandments? I don't know about you but I broke most of them, plus God has other rules also. Since God knew I couldn't keep His commandments, He sent Jesus who could to die for me. God set the rule - without the shedding of blood there is no remission (pardon) of sins. So Jesus took my sins on Himself at the Cross so I could receive back what I lost when Adam disobeyed God. Adam lost eternal life with God because Adam sinned. But Jesus who knew no sin, a sinless, unblemished Lamb of God was a perfect sacrifice for my sins and Jesus took my sins and diseases all upon Him at the cross. Because Jesus died and was resurrected to God, I can die and be resurrected to God. God accepted Jesus' blood being shed as a full pardon of my sins. All I have to do is believe in what Jesus did for me. Salvation is a free gift from Jesus (God). We can't do enough or be good enough to earn it. We receive eternal life with God by believing in Jesus and what Jesus did for us. God didn't make any deal with Satan. Satan knows his fate. Satan knows the Bible better than we know it. Satan's only hope is if he can convince God that we are not worthy of God. I don't think we are worthy of God either, but God thinks we are worthy. And what God wants is what counts. In the Bible it says that God created us for His pleasure. It also says in the Bible that we are nothing without God.

Read the Bible and see what good sense it makes and how much God truly loves you.
