There are two different paths here.

One path starts with concepts of salvation which should inspire enlightenment.

The other path starts with discovering enlightenment which leads to salvation.

Problems arise when people "get" saved and thinking they are superior, thereby never reaching enlightenment. Starting with enlightenment without being mindful will not lead to salvationn either.

Both paths require walking, moving forward.

No, the Buddha wasn't martyred. What are you talking about? He died of food poisoning.

He actually did not die. His jiva just was enlightened and removed from the cycle. his jiva is basically retired now. I am a jain.

There's no theology in Buddhism so comparisons with other belief systems have no validity.
