And a boycott of Mel's stuff proves what, exactly? Still, it's your decision and i guess, in the end, your loss.
Just like the clowns that burnt and destroyed the Beatles' and John Lennon's music because some moron in the press misquoted one line of Lennon's.
Funny thing about most boycotts of this type is that it's religious people, those who allegedly would like others to believe they can show tolerance and forgiveness, that actually show the least or either. Typically hypocritical attitudes which seems to be the norm in all organised religions and has been the case for as long as anyone would care to remember.

With this way of questioning I might desire to never watch the 'Adventures of Robin Hood', 'Captain Blood' or 'the sea Hawk'. Has every physique forgotten Errol Flynn and "His depraved methods'? Polanski replace right into a nil.5 skills that never totally superior his skills as a director and Mel Gibson replace into an entertainer. i've got not boycotted any ones movies even if it does not propose I might desire to be a fan the two.

Mel Gibson didn't actually do the movie "Last Temptation of Christ" which you would probably find offensive for other reasons if you are into the whole Christianity thing. He did "The Passion of the Christ" which is an entirely different movie. His latest work is apparently very racist and about the Mayan people. I can imagine it to be just as repulsive.
I don't really care about Mel Gibson or his works and do find his work slightly entertaining and wouldn't care enough to boycott it. Of course, I rarely actually pay to veiw movies as I like the pirated and illegal download versions better.

I don't really care about mel gibson. His movies have never really excited me anyway. It's Tom Hanks who I like for acting and as a person. So I'm not spending anymoney on mel nor am I watching his movies just b/c I don't think he's that great.
As for his drunken stupity I don't care much about that ether for anyone can get drunk and make statements about a group of people just b/c he's famous and rich a big deal was made out of it.

I think you're confusing "The Last Temptation of Christ" with "The Passion of the Christ", but I agree with you: Mel Gibson is on my "must miss" list.
Not that there's any great sacrifice on my part in that.
Oh, and Tom Cruise isn't exactly a favorite either.

I just went to IMDB, and I realized that I've only seen two (well technically three) Mel Gibson movies: "Hamlet" (had to watch in eighth grade English), "What Women Want", and "Pocahontas" (this is the technicality, because it's animated). I would have sworn it was more, but I haven't seen any Lethal Weapons or anything like that. Weird.

I have always felt this way even since his bigoted and hurtful anti-LGBT comments, many years ago. I have never seen any of his movies after the "Mad Max" series. [As you can see, I am dedicated. Lol]
FYI Gibson's snuff film was "The Passion of the Christ," not "The Last Temptation of Christ." The latter was made from a very good book and explored thoughtful themes. Did Gibson make somethng called "Last Temptation" also??

Who are you to judge?
The poor man is bi-polar. Have you ever dealt with someone who is bi-polar?
Have you read the media headlines lately that depression meds given to those who are bi-polar do not work?
Have some compassion.
My poor niece loved a boy who was bi-polar. Even when ON his meds he would have bouts of hysteria where he'd call us up in the middle of the night accusing her of the most bizzare things.
Mel Gibson is a good man. He struggles with sin just like the rest of us.

Mel Gibson is one of the greatest directors of this era
He has his failings, one of them is honesty. His father Hutton was a client of mine, while he lived in Australia, he had the same failing
The gore-fest you refer to was "The Passion of the Christ', the film you refer to "Last Temptation" was a forget able piece of blasphemous ****
A certain ethnic group in the US forced him to cut three scenes from the passion or they would block it from the majority of American theatre screens
A great man like his father, I hope to meet him one day
