It's a sad and terrible thing to see.
The good thing is that they generally respond well to anti-psychotic medication.

My Steve used to refer to my mindless temper tantrums as "demon attacks." I don't know how seriously you would take this if you were an observer, but it was the most plausible explanation I had, and functioned to keep me from being overwhelmed with guilt. Of course, I am still responsible for resisting demonic possession. When Geraldine said "The devil made me buy that dress," Flip Wilson pointed out that she was responsible for telling him no.
In one respect it did seem like possession. I would fly into such a rage I would actually hurt the man I loved more than anyone or anything else in the world. And later, I had only the most vague recollections of what I had said and done. I would be all hot and have knots in my stomach.

People who say they don't exist are wrong, horribly wrong. I never been possessed but have been afflicted horribly bad. I had to go to counseling. I had horrible nightmares you couldn't even imagine, I was so afraid to go to bed every night. I was 17 years old. One of my dreams was that a demon was coming after me and he kept chasing me and I fell into tar and blood and he grabbed me and started chewing on my hand and more were coming and they were speaking in a different language but I knew what they were saying. They were saying " Listen to your demons, listen to your demons, they will steer you in the right direction" The one demon was still chewing on my hand and i woke up and the their was a throbbing pain in my left hand where the demon was chewing.... i said the Lord's prayer over and over. My doctor gave me a list of what to do and prayers to say before i went to bed everynight and how many times to say them. I had to say the Lord's prayer 10 times a day. Now I am down to saying one prayer the Lord's prayer just once a day before bed. My older sister suffered from the affliction as well. We both don't have any problems with them any more. And for those people who don't believe it and say people are really just crazy, just wait till it happens to you, just because you might not be Christian and you don't believe doesn't mean you are safe from it. In fact non-believers get possessed. Which is a lot worse

depends on the "demon" if you will for a moment accept that "demon" is a relative term for all things that flow through the various forms of life then of course there are good and bad in a relative sense but a new awareness that may only be experienced through the following of ones self as the third person most people only get to experience in their dreams.

They are terribly tormented. It's horrible. I have a step daughter who has been institutionalized for 3 years, she hurts herself and others too. I took care of her for 3 years before that. My daughters and I got very scared in the end. The funny thing is she is perfectly fine in front of her Father. He never would believe anything was wrong from any one ,Dr's. school etc. Even today she will say she is fine and she is constantly having to restrain her and the works. Has someone with her at all times. Medications that would put an elephant down doesn't even phase her. It's sad because she likes the attention she gets.
I fear for her. All I can do is pray<><<><<><

An actor who once played 'Jesus' on 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. Jeff Fenholt was a possessed person & was going to be in Black Sabboth band but the New Album fell through.
He had come to our church to share his testimony of how God saved him.
He sent his wife to the hospital with broken bones before. She had come to Gods Saving Grace & was praying for his salvation. Once a prayer group came to their house & they prayed for him & he was delivered of the demons. Then he turned his life for Christ & shares his testimony & sings for the Lord.
Many of the world bands, like 'black sabboth" their singers have messages from satan. A destructive message. So some are possessed or oppressed.
Also, possessed means that demons take control over someones will, to control person to harm others or them self. Oppressed is demons try to convince, through deception, to convince someone to choose to harm them self or others. And some demons are worse than others.
Erin, I also had gone through a horrible breakdown, resulting from falling away from God for 10 years. I had prayed then went into a 1 yr breakdown. But God protected me through the worst of it, because I did turn to God to forgive me. And the breakdown did cause me to realize the idols in my life I didn't know I had. The idols were taken from my life. Then God delivered me when I was prayed for in front of the Church congregation.

Demons do not exist. Certain mental and physical illnesses might make it appear to be demonic possession, but that's not what's going on. People used to think that epileptics and schizophrenics were possessed by demons.

Any serious responses you get are from people that need to be checked into a clinic. If you think you are currently or will be possessed by a demon, I suggest you check yourself in before you hurt someone or yourself.
