Im a Christian and Im really tired of hearing sermons That are trying to lure people into church by diluting the gospel....They have gotten so away about having true altar calls, and winning people to christ..Whats wrong? Churches have been become monumental businesses, pastors with huge salaries, big staffs, and shows on stage where you have to have to best singers, best musicians, and so on.... Who can out do who with easter egg hunts..Like we just had one and spread out 20,000 plastics eggs filled with candy..Every kid got about 200..You get so frustrated you just would like to scream..And its pretty well that way with all of todays churches. What has happened? It seems pastors think they will offend people if they come on too hard with the gospel...that is the true purpose isnt it? winning the lost..I really dont get...Its depressing. You just want to cry..Whats your view?

Oh, how awful that some kids are going to grow up with pleasant memories of church and think that God loves them!

Believe me, if you would like to turn your faith into a series of horror stories for kids, there are plenty of chruches in America that will oblige.

I understand how you feel, but understand that what matters is our Lord Jesus Christ. I go to a Southern Baptist church, and our preacher has no problem at all stepping on toes. I found a site that has a bunch of links to online sermons. Maybe you can find one that you like. I especially like the third one down in Glenpool, Oklahoma. The preacher stutters a little every now and then, but really lays out the fire and brimstone. Here's the link:

She would not want to carry fingers in church. You do. you're both precise, yet from a loving attitude it really is advisable to flow at the same time with your fiancée's determination at the same time as worshipping our God. you'll discover that she and also you disagree over "little" such issues as this. that's high quality. what's necessary, notwithstanding, is that you talk and choose your arguments in a kind and loving way. in case you do not opt for them they could fester and bubble up once you're having a thoroughly diverse argument, and this would get very damaging certainly. you're equals. (a minimum of, i assume that's the position you're putting out.) so that you want to ask your self no matter if it really is truly important to "win" each argument, or no matter if you are able to enable some provide and take. She's your fiancée, and by technique of implication you're hoping to be in a position to spend some thing else of your lives at the same time. in fact, in case you won't be able to opt for some thing like this then you definitely'll have an truly bumpy experience. i'm hoping it does workout consultation for you. I too have noticed a change in the way that the Gospel is preached. I agree with you that pastors seemed not to want to tell the truth about the "wages of sin".

However, I still believe that God has a remnant that has not bowed to the pressures of society. They have not bowed to the desires of lust and greed. So I will keep praying and asking God to truly save sinners because that is what Jesus died for.

His word will not return to Him void but, it will accomplish what it sends it to do.

Face the facts... religion is about money. In order to maintain revenue levels thay adjust their doctrine and beliefs to suit their constituants. If you don't think so... just imagine what would happen if they lost their tax exempt status. Beside that... Who actually believes that there is an imaginary supernatural being in the sky?
