Is anybody besides me tired of Jesus freaks? I am so sick of people trying to rub their religion off on me as though i care at all. You have no evidence that religion is right so why am i going to waste my life following it? I like smoking and drinking but i dont try to get you to do them just because i do. There are so many different religions and Gods out there on this planet that i think you have to face the facts: If one of them is actually right.... chances are, it's not yours.

You'll never make them see that though. They'll always tell you that you're going to hell as if they know for sure what happens. They put so much blind faith in the bible & they talk down to anyone who doesn't believe what they believe.

I mean f**kin A, one guy posted a question a little while ago asking who was better... an Ethical Atheist, or an immoral believer..... to which he continued to say that his opinion is that the immoral believer was better than the Atheist because the believer acknowledges his creator. What kind of bulls**t is that??

According to this moron, good people who don't believe in god are worse than bad people who DO believe in god. (i.e. hitler) Does that make sense??

Edit:
I have Cometh: discussing religion & have someone telling you that you're wrong for not believing in their religion is two completely different thing. Discussion is a 2-way exchange of ideas....... Whereas most christians on Y!A openly bash anyone who doesn't believe what they believe. That is not discussion, that's a massive superiority complex that only shows itself here because the cowards have the benefit of the anonymity that Y!A provides so they can say what they want to say without having to worry about the consequences.

I am sorry you encountered a mean Christian, we are all the same people we just believe in different things, that doesn't always make us sound nice. But really nobody is trying to force feed you anything, when you openly say you are athiest to a Christian that means you are telling us to open the can of worms. And when you come out bashing us , of course we are going to give you an opinion of ours. You set yourself up for this whole thing.

so you are tired of "Jesus Freaks" (as you stated)... but faith in God helps me to have patience with this sort of situation... the only reason you feel it necessary to post a question like this is to get tpeople infuriated more, and you know what they'll do, provoking anger is unfair... this continual asking about it, only shows that you are actually searching for the right answer, but you are going about it the wrong way... I'm not asking or telling you to believe in God because I told you to, but I am asking that instead of sitting on the defense against it, keep and open mind and an open heart.. in the end it is up to you to choose, but how do you expect to find an out come (that is best for you) when you refuse to try and look at both sides?... its human nature to search for the good... looks like you are just making it harder for yourself by being stubborn in your ways... I am not saying that there aren't believers out there who don't act like complete jerks! don't get me wrong, I've seen it, and maybe done it myself before, and it truly is not how they should act... but don't write all of us off because a few stray from the correct conduct they should have... please...

Dude, we're not all pushy about our faith. I very much enjoy conversations with people of all religious or nonreligious backgrounds because I like people anyway. Just because some "Jesus Freaks" are overbearing doesn't mean all of them are. Check out my site--JesusFreak.com--and feel free to drop me a line if you'd like.

1 Peter 3:15
"Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect..." There is no excuse for a Christian to be completely unable to defend his or her faith. Every Christian should be able to give a reasonable presentation of their faith in Christ. No, not every Christian needs to be an expert in apologetics. Every Christian, though, should be equipped to know what they believe, why they believe it, how to share it with others, and how to defend it against lies and attacks.

That is a Lie, If you were sick of Jesus freaks, and about Religion, You would not be here on this site, and speaking Down on people that love God and try answering some peoples questions that want to learn more. I don't know if you know it or not, but you are being used by the Devil, like Judas.
We all know who your God is.

If you are sick of the "Jesus Freaks", then may I suggest going to a different board.

Then why are you in the religion and spirituality section of Answers? I mean, that's what people are here for. To discuss religion and spirituality.

Edit:

Dave G, while I agree that many Christians on this discussion board bash people who are not whatever religion they are, I would also have to say that it is a "Religion and Spirituality" discussion board. If people who are atheists don't want to be subjected to rants from those sorts of people perhaps they should visit another section. Since, from what I understand, atheism is believing there is no God or anything supernatural. I am not saying this to bash, only seems to make sense.

In addition, I would also say that many people who are not of any particular religious persuasion do plenty of bashing of their own.

When one enters an area where those they despise are expected to be, why does one then complain that they are there?

Save yourself some stress and stay out of the answer forum.
