Again i was listening to coasttocoastlive.com with Ian Punnet as he interveiwed Charles Peligreno. Charles Peligreno confirms that there was nothing in the Jesus Ostuary except wood fibers and fragments of some kind of cloth.
Do you still believe they were declaring that bones were found?

if you want a copy of the audio file i can send it to you if you ask

Ok, so heres my serious question on why people are against gay marriage,

some are against gays getting married cause of the Bible, and they reference lots of verses like Leviticus 18:22, and Romans 1 and 1 Corinthians 6:9 and even Genesis where God punishes Sodom and Gomorah,

ok, we get it, the Christian god doesn't like the act of gay sex,

ok, so heres my question, which chapter and verse in the Bible does it say gay people can't get married,

and here is why I ask, cause god doesn't approve of atheism either,

but there aren't any Christians protesting atheists getting married? Clearly no Bible verse says an atheist can't get married.

I'm an atheist I married a woman. God disapproves of my atheism.

Why no protest of my marriage?

---

When will people admit they don't like gay marriage cause they are homophobic?

---

There, theres my serious question for the day.

(Hope everyone has a good day. Spread blessings not curses)

Children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic school for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun made a note, "Take only one, God is watching."

At the other end of the table was a large pile of chocolate chip cookies. Moving through the line a boy wrote another note to leave by the cookies, "Take all you want, God is watching the apples."

So, many hold that current world events are signs that the End Times are upon us. We have wars. We have natural disasters. We have diseases. We have starving children. Etcetera. I'm wondering how right now is any different than the hundreds of other times throughout history when we have had wars, devastating natural disasters, pestilence killing the masses.

Take, for example, the Black Death. The early 1300's were marked by great famine throughout Europe. Then along comes the bubonic plague, killing an estimated 75 million people worldwide. This also devastated the economy. At the same time, the Hundred Years' War broke out. The change in culture led to a vast rethinking of faith and religion and provided a foundation for later overhauls such as the Renaissance and Reformation. If anything, I would say that time in history was closer to meeting the Bible's prophecies regarding the End Times. But nothing happened. ...

I'm going to get bashed because of this, but i say no, although that believer gives faith a bad name, and is going the opposite way of his teachings, He still acknowledges the being which created him.

The point to this question is: If religion was applied correctly, we wouldn't have immoral believers, don't you think so?

Imagine the Half or thin Moon in the night. Now that get reflected in water below. When the water is wavery, the reflection of this thin moon is also wavery. When the water dries up, there is no reflection. Only the thin moon remains. and this thin moon is a spark and part of a Big Light or the Big Full Moon.

Now imagine the similar scenario again in another way. Imagine the moon to be a part of our organ say hand and it is dark in the room. A lantern is lightened. We are showing our hand in front of the light for the shadow to be reflected on the wall. As and when there is variation in light, the shadow also varies. Once the light is gone there is no shadow. Only the hand remain as a part of the body which we can not see.

I am a Christian. i like being a Christian.

I dont mind being ridiculed, or my faith being brought up all the time (actually i quite like it! I wasnt always a Christian, most my friends and my whole family are not Christians - their not "bad" people either their nice in their jesting).

Being an anti religion crusader for most my life, i know most of the questions to shut up religious freaks dead in their tracks. A brief look on how i became a Christian, i met a girl (she was a Christian), i liked her so i started going to church (oh dear), i met people and liked the way they lived their lives, free, happy, loving, friendships... it was awesome! But i was still no Christian, but i was looking into it!

When i looked into it i answered all my questions i used to use against people like i am now, and then some! My question isnt really a question its a thought, if i show you a flower you've never seen before and said it had no smell would you believe me? Or would to take a sniff?

Why is this perception allowed in hardcore Catholic environment by the church institutions themselves? Are these people capable of communicating, or they just pour out what has been poured in? Why they feel sorry for atheists for whom they think have no soul?

I'm asking because I'm trying to leave the Catholic Church, but I'm being told that they cannot remove or destroy baptismal records because they are at least quasi-legal documents. Is this true? Are records ever erased or altered if a parishioner is excommunicated?

For example, Christianity (in general) doesn't seem to hold a special place for one's individual happiness and enjoyment of life. How does the concept of happiness or the pursuit of happiness figure into YOUR spirituality? What is the role that happiness plays? Or is personal happiness seen as taking away from spirituality in your belief system?

For all spiritual points of view.

"You should live your life and try to make the world a better place for your being in it, whether or not you believe in God. If there is no God, you have lost nothing and will be remembered fondly by those you left behind. If there is a benevolent God, he will judge you on your merits and not just on whether or not you believed in him. "

I was born Catholic but have no really connection to any religion or church. I have begun to try to find something like faith but if this is what it is about I think I may be better off out here in the "wilderness". For people who profess a spiritual existence, I read an awful lot of intolerance here. Why?

Every day I pop on here, and look at questions from the Religion and spirituality section, I get more and more angry with the questions many Christians seem to ask here. It seems as if they can't accept the idea of people following their own beliefs, and practicing other faiths. How come you never see Muslims, Taoists, Hindus, Jews, etc. imposing their faith on others here like you do with Christians posters?

Part of believing in God, is understanding that God is love. God says to love your fellow man despite your differences. Why do such a mass of Christian posters here seem to have such a hard time understanding that teaching?

For example, I saw a guy ask if prayer should be taught in school here, and he chose someone who said "yes" as the answer. Both the asker and answerer seemed to have no respect for the beliefs of other people. Don't they know, freedom of religion is what separates us from those religious extremist governments like the Taliban?
