Is he unsure which Lord he is serving?

I have been going through the Religion section voting for answers, and I find the section dominated by Christians answering the questions as if there could be no perspective for the answer other than the Christian perspective. Forinstance, a few people have asked questions about why there are so many religions. I am Pagan, and like many Pagans I have studied many religions, and so I know that this question can easily be answered by quoting the Buddha, "There are as many paths to the one as there are lives of men." However, none of the Christians answering the question seemed to be able to look at the question from a theological perspective other than their own. This is just one example out of many to be found in the religion section.

Is there some taboo in Christianity against studying other religions? Or a taboo against understanding other religious perspectives?

I don't want to think of Christians as close minded and ignorant, but that is the perception from what I'm reading here.

Is Satan not just the messanger of evil? Is Satan not merely teching Job the truth of the evil of God? Or is Satan manipulatng God, if so how all knowing and powerful is God?

Story of Job

8 Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and SHUNS EVIL. etc

12 The LORD said to Satan, "Very well, then, everything he has is in your hands, but on the man himself do not lay a finger."

Now here in lies the problem, God ALLOWS Satan to destroy a mans life but says not to hurt the man himself. BUT then God in Job 2:6 says to Satan, "Very well, then, he is in your hands; but you must spare his life." So God must not have a master plan.

Also if God is all knowing and all powerful why must God prove his followers faith to Satan? God should know the extent of the mans faith without testing or without justification to Satan.

In scripture, God tells us to get married undefiled, and never love our husbands/wives more than we love Him. Why can't we love both of them equally? Does God feel this way about a parent's love for their children or a children's love for their parents?

Now God is Nature and the laws of nature are perfect but humans are not... the laws of nature are unchanging... Nature who is GOD will have to change one law to bring about peace on earth..
Nature respects and preserves all life that is it's law, but Now Those who seek to start a war the penaltly will be death.

Guess who said that, pope, Billy???

Isn't it assuming rather a lot if anyone not of your faith is designated 'spiritually dead'. It's worse when you shorten it to 'spreadone' which doesn't even preserve the letter order.

Plus it sounds like crap, and it makes me think of sex (but to be fair, nearly everything does, it is spring)

Should i call him by one of his proper titles such as "I Am or Elohim or God?" Does it state specifically in the Bible what he prefers to be called? I know any of them are probably o.k. but does he prefer one more than another?

Many times I've gone to answer questions where Y!A says "Be the first to answer this question" and by the time I type in my answer I'm the 17th to answer the question!

Anyone else find that?

the only reason we have a bible is because some scholars wanted to scare the be-jesus out of people so the could collect taxes on time and gain power. people have an illusion that they are going to be saved. from what? dying, disease, famine? back in the day, people invented idols and deities because they could not explain thunder, lightening, earthquakes, volcano eruptions, titalwaves, locust, and whatever else came along.thank goodness for modern civilizations that can explain all these phenomenons. and for those who have seen the other side...psycidelic drugs do wonders.

I am wondering why there are all these rules petaining to all these denominations of religions.
In some religions its not ok for a woman to have any type of power. In some you cant have musical instruments. Some say you get to heaven this way...others another way.
More importantly than keeping up with your own rules, how do you keep up with others as well. What I mean is each demoniation seems to be experts in thiers and others enough to say the others are wrong.
I can not count how many times I have heard something like "You know those XXXX (insert any demonitation here) they are all messed up" and then go to explain whatever strange rules they deem as wrong.
Any input here would be nice.
Thanks

Personally, I use music & repetition.
Think about how many songs that you know all the words to.
Why is this? Repetition........

Or how many of you know pretty much all the words to the movie 'Grease'? (Don't tell me I'm alone on this one either....)

It's repetition......what do you do?
