I am wondering why there are all these rules petaining to all these denominations of religions.
In some religions its not ok for a woman to have any type of power. In some you cant have musical instruments. Some say you get to heaven this way...others another way.
More importantly than keeping up with your own rules, how do you keep up with others as well. What I mean is each demoniation seems to be experts in thiers and others enough to say the others are wrong.
I can not count how many times I have heard something like "You know those XXXX (insert any demonitation here) they are all messed up" and then go to explain whatever strange rules they deem as wrong.
Any input here would be nice.
Thanks

"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.

Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!

Here's the Solution to religion:

Create a private, personal, direct, divine Relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.

Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!

I would answer this question with one word, well two; "The Bible." If you hear someone say anything about another religion turn to the Bible and see if it is in there. For instance, you will hear some religion say that "tongues" have been done away with. Sorry, not in the Bible. The verse they use to explain this is 1 Corinthians 13:8; however they only use part of the verse as a proof and accept not the full verse. "Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away (hasn't happened), if there are tongues, they will cease (hasn't happened, because if it had why hasn't the rest also happened), if there is knowledge, it will be done away. I could give many examples to prove this point, but it is better you seek the answers yourself in the "Word." It doesn't matter what denomination you chose; as long as it is not a cult!!! As long as you base your belief on the "Word" of God, and accept what the Bible says as opposed to what the denominational doctrine says, you cannot go wrong. Don't be fooled by religions that profess to be Christian and yet use some other book than the Bible as their source of enlightenment. These people have been led astray. And again, don't trust in the doctrine of your denomination if it goes against the "Word." Put your trust in Jesus and let the Spirit guide you into understanding. If reading the bible is hard for you, try getting a New American Standard, or even an Amplified version. God did not speak King James English, if anything he spoke Hebrew. And Jesus wasn't pale skinned and blue eyed, probably more like tan skinned and brown eyed. He was, after all, Jewish. "Study to show yourself approved."
Oh, as for music and instruments in church - Look at the Psalms, all about music and instruments. God loves music and has nothing against any instrument. If the music is anointed it doesn't matter what instrument is used. The Word says the God inhabits our praises; so praise Him with, harp, temberil, guitar, drums, voice, whatever - just praise Him.

girl, u just need to find the right religion, i mean i could never go to a church where they have bands and electric guitars playing music because come on, do you think thats the way church is supposed to be? No. I don't want you to think that I'm trying to convert you or anything but if your looking for a church that trully has all the answers to your questions look up any Eastern Orthodox Churches in your area, or just Orthodox Churches in your area, go there on a Sunday and if your new stand in the back or find a seat in the back and then after the service ask to see the priest or find the priest yourself and ask ALL the questions you have or just tell him that your looking for a church and want to know everything he can tell you about the religion. IT really is a beautiful religion.
Try it, its not like you have to convert if you don't like it! BYE!~

Remember that religion is man's invention, his interpretation of God's intention for man. This therefore means there should be an many religions as there are humans. The reason there are fewer religions than humans is that many humans are not bold enough or have the mind to start one.

You can therefore expect differences in religions; and this explains why there are so many sects in the same religion. Nobody can keep up with other religions or sects other than to let them be because each one is expressing his or her own individuality, a God-given attribute of man.

If you have to worship in a different sect, just pretend there are no differences, say your prayers and move on.

Love the word "demoniation"! I think Y!A R&S is a good way to get a picture of what others believe. But I'm not sure why that would really be necessary unless you were curious.

The bible tells us, that religion, traditions and rituals are in the way of a relationship with God. It's true. To me, what God tells me is the rule. Everything else is man made and not worth following.

A lot of those people who tell you what other religions believe are wrong. I can't count how many times I've heard people make outrageous claims about my religion and they've been dead wrong. Don't believe them. Many people don't even know what their own religion stands for - they just like to argue.

I know what you mean. This whole "You're gonna go to hell if you're not so and so." And each denomination saying that theirs is the only true faith. It's crap. They're just afraid that one day, their members are gonna wake up to the fact that it's all a fairytale.
