Many times I've gone to answer questions where Y!A says "Be the first to answer this question" and by the time I type in my answer I'm the 17th to answer the question!
Anyone else find that?

Oh, yes. I even made up my own conspiracy theory involving a super computer employed by Yahoo to create lots of clever answers and put them in ahead of me.
It might sound ludicrous, but I might be onto something....

Yes. I'm a fast typer, but by the time I think out my answer and word it the way I want, I'm far from the first. I don't like when people respond with a letter or period so they can go back and add the details later. What's the point? Oh, good for you...you have the first answer....have a cookie.

Yup, I find it a lot.
Type a short answer to be the first (or at least among the first five, and then go back to edit. This will re serve your place.
I used to use the Hunt & Peck system of typing. But I adopted the Christian hybrid of the same style.
It's called "Seek and Ye Shall Find."

Some people who forsake their life to blindly lead the blind and sit at a computer all day pretending to obey the mighty God. prob gain and incredibly fast typing speed and prob some awesome grammar skills..However when the blind lead the blind both fall in the ditch

I can type 97 wpm (at last testing), which is slower than my all time best speed of 112 back in high school. I spend a lot of time editing though. lol

I don't really but I like for answering stuff on my comcast internet service provider. I'm not the fastest typer in my household (40 wpm) but I'm decent.
