How did you explain to him that it's not right to touch your "off-limits" places? Did you tell a trusted adult, like a teacher or a police man?

Lets assume there is a god and that christianity is the true religion. I was raised in a christian home, but the message of god and jesus just never sat right with me. It always seemed so far fetched that I had doubts. Well, if god made us the way we are, he is the one who gave me the ability to doubt him. And if the devil put the doubts there, then it is still gods fault because he made the devil too. Either way, by making me the way I am, he has already damned me to hell.

jesus was executed because he was seen as a threat to the empire, so we can say he died for political reasons.
I cannot see any connection between both ideas.
What in jesus death points towards this salvation idea?

I believe their purpose is to keep evil away from cathedrals, but I have heard Pagan references to them as well. I have also heard the tale they are supposed to have the power of speech when water pours out of their mouths. Has any Pagan ever poured water over a gargoyle for divination?

Now i know you have to put faith in something because your life has to have a purpose, so does my life, but what if someone wrote the bible in a huge factory and printed a billion copies and thought of an elaborate made up story, i mean Robin Hood could have been a real story and it was well written, so someone could have made up the bible and sent it to everybody. It could be possible to come with a story and make characters, and with years and years of time and effort, how would it not be possible. I mean if i someone started in a past century and printed a billion copies im sure someone would beleive th and maybe and many many years later everyone will beleive in the story. They could make it sound really convincing and scare people. Now if some guy had made up a story and said pass it along to each century it would get longer and maybe even more convincing and it would be the perfect tool to control peoples minds, it could have been a fake story how would you know the difference.

If you were to ask a Christian why they are Christian they would probobaly spout off some answer that they heard from church because they have more or less been programed to do it. In several studies it has been confirmed that many Christians have actually been brainwashed into believing what is told to them by their family and church. If someone is constantly told from birth thay they must believe in God or they will be punished eternally of course they will believe because they are too frightened to think otherwise. Eventually this becomes so natural to them that they it actully becomes imprinted into their mind so they cannot question it. This is how cults and kidnappers brainwash their victims. THey consistently tell them that if they do not believe them or do as they say then they will be punished until sub conscienously they cannot think against it.

Can someone please give me a link to a website that explains what happens in each station of the cross. Not just prayers about them, but a site that actually explains what happens. Thank you.

are not clones? That we come from different backgrounds, cultures, and levels of education? That we are sinners and far from perfect? That the thing that unifies us is the belief that Christ paid the price for our sin with His life? That many of us disagree on politics and basic issues? That we suffer life's tragedies and circumstances like everyone else? That we accept that something bigger than us created the complex universe? That it's humility, love, and sometimes desperation that brought us to Christ in the first place? Just wondering...
