I've been a Christian for 23 years. When I got married and had children, somehow it just became a little harder to get to church every Sunday, but it seems something has changed. I now can't make it thru the songs without feeling like sobbing my eyes out, especially during communion(sp?). I can't figure it out. Are my tears coming due to the wondrance of God, or is it the guilt I have for my sins. I just wonder if anyone else is like me. I know my sister used to cry during the communion hymn, when we were kids, but..... I guess I'm just looking for some insight, while I pray for it as well.

Does it seem to you that American Christians are being watched by the ACLU more that other religions? Does it matter that the founding fathers clearly used Bible ethics as guides for framing the constitution? Should American Christians become more vocal about their beliefs?

I have seen two people in my life that I am convinced were under the control of Satan.

One was my next door neighbor. He was a person that felt everyone else on the earth was put here to "help" him any way he asked of them. If you did not "help," i.e. anything he asked of you, then he and his 'thug-friends' would make your life miserable. Fortunately, he moved away after 10 long years.

The second one was my former boss at work. He was promoted, I got his old job. He did not want the promotion, did not want anyone to have his old job. So he went on a 15 year grudge and verbal assault against me to try to force me to be fired, or quit.

He finally quit and I still have the job.

BOTH men were, in my opinion, working directly under the command of Satan. They were terrible, angry, violent men.

My son would like to go on a mission next year, and is willing to work to pay the $6,000 to go, and sacrifice two years of his life because he loves the church and Heavenly Father. I would like to ask if he were to come to your door with his companion, would you give him any time to share with you about the LDS church?

I find the use of the word 'lord' and goddy stuff in the lyrics difficult to empathise with.
I like lyrics to have a bit of edge, like suffering and heartache and about people. Is all christian music happy-clappy? and how much they love the lord?

The question refers to the passages in 1 Corinthians 11,23-25; Mark 14,17-25; Matthew 26,20-29; Luke 22,14-38; John 13,1-17; 26, even though the name "last supper" is never in any of them. The nature of that meal that Jesus took with his apostles shortly before his arrest is variously described in the New Testament.

The earliest reference in the New Testament to the "last supper" (and what soon grew out of it) is found in 1 Corinthians (written about A.D. 56), where Paul, even before he recounts what Jesus did and said at it, speaks of a participation of Christians in "the table of the Lord" (10,21). He thus refers to what was already a well-established ritual custom among Corinthian Christians. At it they shared in a "cup of blessing" (10,16a), which Paul now interprets as a "participation in the blood of Christ" (v.16b) and in a "breaking of bread" (v. 26c), which is "a participation in the body of Christ" (v16d): "All partake of the one bread" (10,17). Thus Paul alludes to a Christian rite, which he even compares with "sacrifices" of the people of Israel" (10,18) and other sacrifices of "pagans" (10,20), as he emphasizes the idea of partnership or participation of those involved in it.

Stand Out!

Aren't we christians supposed to stand out? We need to be heard, even if we have SHOUT.... We need to be above the crowd not going along with the flow, but trying to force our way upstream.

How about we all pray that christians from all over the world will begin to stand out, and let people know that we are christians? God won't truly bless this nation with us on the sidelines...

How many will agree to begin to pray for leaders to rise up in these last days? Also, how many will agree to pray that those of us who aren't neccesarily leaders, can stand up for our faith?

I feel as though I am meant to be a leader. Will you also pray for me,that God will reveal His will to me?

I'm writing a paper and have to do a survey. If you would answer these questions for me, I would really appreciate it. Only serious answers please, unless they are really funny answers that will amuse me ;)

1.Should Creation be taught in public schools? Why or why not?
2. Should evolution be taught in public schools? Why or why not?
3. Do you think that both should be taught or neither? Do they deserve equal credence and treatment in public schools.
4. Is there anything other than the two mentioned theories that should be taught? What and Why?

If you have any other interesting insights to the debate please share them, they are greatly appreciated.

I've seen some people wanting to change other people's beliefs, like some atheists wanting religous people and agnostics to be atheists and some religous people wanting none believers, atheists, aganostics and people of different religions to believe they're religion etc. I haven't seen any agnostics on here trying to change anyones beliefs. I dunno if they're are any that think religous people or athiests should change they're beliefs.
How come some people want to change other peoples beliefs? How come some people can't accept other peoples different beliefs? How come some people insult other people because of they're beliefs. How come we can't all get a long? Everyone is different.

Sorry if their is any dodgy spelling or puntuation.

Heaven is depicted as being above which you submise that it somewhere way past the starts or wherever. Hell is depicted as being down below somewhere...... If you down below far enough you will the centre of the earth, if you go out the other side, where I live we would hit China. Has it ever been explained where Hell is supposed to be?
