I have seen two people in my life that I am convinced were under the control of Satan.

One was my next door neighbor. He was a person that felt everyone else on the earth was put here to "help" him any way he asked of them. If you did not "help," i.e. anything he asked of you, then he and his 'thug-friends' would make your life miserable. Fortunately, he moved away after 10 long years.

The second one was my former boss at work. He was promoted, I got his old job. He did not want the promotion, did not want anyone to have his old job. So he went on a 15 year grudge and verbal assault against me to try to force me to be fired, or quit.

He finally quit and I still have the job.

BOTH men were, in my opinion, working directly under the command of Satan. They were terrible, angry, violent men.

They probably had partial mental illnesses thats all. The way some one feels and behaives has much to do with brain chemistry. They were probably born that way.
I dont think satan exists as an entity or a person. I think satan is just the natural evil in all of us. We dont have to listen to it if we follow our concience.
Those two other guys were not under satans control, they were just a little off normal. And had social problems.

This is a loaded question, as it assumes the existence of an "anti-God," and, for all monotheists, this should be considered heresy. There are many books dealing with the development, over time, of the concept of Satan in the Bible.

However, there is no doubt that there is evil in the world and that this evil can be manifested in persons or institutions, such as you believe about these two people.

Far more important to me is the Jewish concept which Jesus may (or may not; I wasn't there) have held, as he was a Jew in his "human" person.

It is a common [though not universal] Jewish belief each human has two opposing inclinations, defined poetically as "two hearts." One is known as "Yetser Tov," and it is our inclination toward goodness and doing what is good. The other is "Yetser HaRa," which is the inclination toward evil and doing evil. The goal is, of course, to maximize the first and minimize the second.

Rather than posit an "anti-God," which, for me, would absolve these to people of responsibility for their words and actions, I would say each of them have followed "Yetser HaRa."

If you actually believe in god or satan you are a fool. Satan? Ha! God? If you actually believe there is a man in the sky who knows and sees everything, you deserve to be treated like these two s.o.b.'s treated you. Religion is a crutch for weak and frightened people who can't face the reality of the fact that there is no such thing as control of their lives.

Well, Satan does work thru people. But I don't know about those two. To me, I think they are just lost sheep looking for the Truth. Pray for them!

I AGREE i also think that the devil can show up and act as if he is you...call me crazy but i am living proof of this...my family swears up and down for almost five years that i did something horrible...today i had to confess that it happened...and i wasn't even there personally when it happened...but to restore the peace i said that i did it...now i feel like i have lowered myself to dirt, i feel like i am 10 cm tall and falling shorter...i think the next time i talk to them i will feel like i don't exist :( the things we do for some peace

Sounds like to really weird and tempered people. However I believe they are responsible for their own actions. Once someone understand the concept that they are responsible for their own action they can actually make steps to correct them.
