They are sleeping in death until Jesus resurrects them back to life.
"I have hope in God, which they themselves also accept, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust." Acts 24:15

Nothing. nobodies in hell right now. They aren't supposed to be until judgment day, at least that's what the standard Christian Protestant idea is. But I doubt there will be human souls in hell, if there is such a place. Anyone not elsewhere will most likely just be cast into a void and simply cease to exist, no energy, nowhere.

hell doesn't exist yet. If you're referring to the Christian belief then from that stand point Hell is created when God throws the devil and all those who decided to follow him and not God in. Heaven isn't ready yet either, its still being prepared. People are just dead until Christ returns. But hey, that's just my faith. From a Christian's view on life and how it really is.

There are no occupants of hell atr this time. The judgment will be the time that hell will be occupied and Heaven will add a number of occupants then too. GOD, CHRIST, and the angels are the only occupants of Heaven at this time. Would you like to be added to the Book of Life? The list of those who will be in heaven? Hell is the grave so they are simply asleep in death until the resurrection. Remember, Jesus was in hell for 3 days until he was resurrected. Satan is right here on earth partying with anyone willing to play--"Woe to the earth....because the devil has come down to you....."

Americans love the "hanging out" mentality of hell. Let's face the reality... The bible tells us that it's a place of eternal torment. God said it, I believe it, problem solved.
