Are your thoughts mainly centered on God, or on sexuality? I seriously feel like I'm the only person out there that doesn't constantly have something perverted to say. Am I alone?

In the KJV 1 John 5:7 reads; For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Yehoshua bin Yosef al Nazareth spoke of his Father in heaven as his G-d (John 20:17), to whom he attributed superior authority, knowledge, and greatness (Matthew 20:23, Mark 13:32, John 14:28).

"But of that day or the hour no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father" (Mark 13:32).

In Matthew 12:31-32 it is stated: "Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this age nor in that to come." Hence, we may reasonably presume that Jesus, if he is to be equated with the "Son of Man" (John 8:28), is not of equal status with the "Holy Spirit"

On this site, that is typically done with the non-response of a thumbs down.

Just one example:

No one will give you the ISBN number of the book Henry wrote where he said this, they just sulk and give you a thumbs down.

* With the single exception of divorce for infidelity.

--------

Matthew 5:31-32, from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount:

"It has been said, 'Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.' But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery."

I have nothing but total respect for any religion, baptist, methodist, catholic, muslim, jehovah witness, heck even atheists. Its one own business and theirs only, but leave me out of it. Case in point was the weekend Visit of Jehovah witness. The last time was on Christmas day as I was about to sit down for dinner with my in-laws. Is that just totally rude or what? Another thing any politician coming here can forget about getting any votes from me. I called the county attourney and he said to put up a no trespassing sign and if they came back, could be arrested on the spot for Criminal trespassing. My home is also my workplace. I am a profesional musician and songwriter, so just answering the door and asking to leave is not good enough. The action of answering the door IS the interruption. And while I am writing any interruption destroys all momentem. however I can't ignor the door because I receive deliveries I have to sign for.

arabs got a bad rap, but they only got vocal after it got real bad....christians bellow if we dont want our children to be taugh rubbish!! it would seem that christianity is actually just making its members crazy megolomaniacs that think its okay to torment women in the hieght of emotion as they enter and exist abortion clinics....it makes its membersbeat on gays, both verbally and physically. for centuries the religion burned people it didnt get along with, and now it doesnt even resemble any kind of teachings jesus taught.
its all about fear and hate......its almost a genetic thing, thank goodness in 2 or three generations there will more than likely not be any christians as children stop blindly following their parents.....

seriously, christianity has played a big enough part in our lives, should it be seen and not heard now?

Running around the planet spreading their "word" destroying
indigenous cultures and in the case of the Mormons purposely trying to keep people out of "heaven".

Why can't missionaries just stay home just keep their "word" to themselves and leave good people alone.

Not everyone on the planet should be a Christian you know.

If missionaries could honestly go out and help the poor and genuinely spread the Love of Creation without an agenda maybe. But they are arrogant and pea brained enough to think that their way of life is appropriate for everyone.

In the process they more often cause harm, spread disease, cause conflict, and take advantage of the people they say they are trying to help.

Why can't they stay home and stifle?

I come here to mainly provide answers, and occasionally ask a (hopefully) thought provoking question.
This question was spawned by an answer I recently read which infered that if Christians want to know the answer to a question they know where to look (ie the Bible).
So I'm just wondering, do you come here because you have a real question and are looking for real help with that problem, or do you come here to hopefully answer some questions and get some food for thought?

Okay, I know that I got saved a couple years ago, and I know what God expects of me. But I don't feel like I belong in church, and I still do things that I am not supposed to do. When I told my friend that I was a christian, she was like, "Wow. Your joking, right !?" Just like it was impossable that I was one. I want to go on my own spiritual journey, and experience diffrent things, just to see how they will work for me. Instead of following in my parent's footsteps. But I am worried that they will hate me, and that I won't be saved anymore, and that I won't go to heaven. I just feel so lost being a baptist, it just doesn't make sense to me. Can a person practice two religions at once, or is that against some spiritual rule? What do you think that I should do?

an immortal being who is not bound by time, spends 33 years out of an infinate number of "years" to pretend to die.

i forget. how is this a sacrifice? i mean i understand how when a human sacrifices his only life for another human its a sacrifice. but how is it when a god pretends to die, only to return to his immortal self, a sacrifice.

people have died for the causes of others, while god cannot die.

*shrug*

your "ultimate" sacrifice, isnt so ultimate. its absolutely meaningless.

(you will say, well god spent those 30ish years for ALL of mankind. so i will tell you now he could have just as easily snapped his fingers and done away with sin. unless you are restricting his powers...)

They are always praying to god to give them strength to get through this trial or that tribulation. This must mean they either are weak, or consider themselves weak. Does this explain why they cling to their belief in a fantasy-god? They are not strong enough to stand on their own two feet and face the real world?

I don't get it. Evolution - or evolutionary biology to be more precise - is a scientific discipline, nothing more. It has no churches, no priests and no rituals. It offers no guarantee of salvation or damnation, no eternal life and no moral code.

To me evolutionary biology is a field of science that examines the biological development and origin of species. It seeks to explain what will happen at a genetic level and provide a framework that explains where we and other organisms came from - who our ancestors were, what animals we share elements of DNA with. It does not seek to set itself up as an explanation for creation as that's more the field of abiogenesis.

It's no more different than, say, practical physics or mathematics or organic chemistry in that it seeks to provide a framework of fact based evidence that can then be applied to predict what will happen in certain circumstances. Yet we don't, for example, say that maths or physics are religions.

Enlighten me. Please.

No. God is not bound by the dimension of time. He did not have
to program everything to happen in the beginning to know the future. Also, He did not have to think through the cause and effect relationshipsto know the future. This would not only limit God to time and sequential thought, but it would also mean that all of man’s decisions

are nothing more than predictable cause and effect results. The fact is that Jesus said in John 8:58 that “before Abraham, I am.” This indicates that the past, present, and future are present tense to Him. Is this possible? Only recently has science discovered that time is not constant. Thus, time can be compressed and dilated, sped up and slowed down. With this new information about time and the realization
that there is much more that we do not know, it is reasonable to conclude that God views events in time at one time like a single picture.
