Have you noticed my paranormal ability to tell when an apostrophe is appropriate and when it isn't? Uncanny, isn't it?

Unfortunately my psychic powers don't extend to the ability to dream of new ways to spell "psychic" wrong, but I do have the ability to intuit when to press the shift key in order to produce a capital "I".

I'm thinking about taking that last ability to James Randi for verification and my million dollar reward. It's an increasingly rare gift, you know.

Okay, so you claim - without any evidence, of course - to have various psychic powers, you spell "psychic" and various other things wrong, and you call people "jerks".

Want to rethink this question? You're really not off to a good start here.

Here's the basic fact of the matter: certain people are a bit more "out of touch" than the rest of us, and therefore manage to convince themselves that they have psychic powers. Ironically, they describe themselves as being more _in touch_ with things than the rest of us - but somehow don't seem to ever notice that they can't demonstrate the powers they claim.

It's not a matter of demonic possession or unholy dealings with evil powers - it's simply wanting desperately to believe that you're special in some way, and not being aware enough to notice that you simply aren't special. It's really common, and nothing to be embarrassed about - but it's certainly not something to be proud of, or to think of as an "ability".

We humans, while physically incarnated, exist awash in a sea of unseen energy. Our "normal" five senses allow us to detect and interpret a tiny amount of that energy in the form of visible light, audible sound, etc.

However, all of us to one degree or another, are able to detect and act on some of the vast amount of other energy that surrounds us. Each of us, unconsciously, does this - think intuition, gut feelings, etc.

Some of us more so than others are a bit more in touch with these abilities and may experience instances that seem supernatural - precognition, ghosts, UFOs, seeing an angel, etc. What these actually are, are us dipping our little toe into the vast soup of consciousness that we are largely unaware of.

keep in mind that when we do this, part of the experience is us becoming consciously aware of some form of energy that our normal senses don't detect. Another part of the experience is our individual interpretation of the event. Two people might experience the same energy and one person might interpret it as having seen an angel and another as having received some "communication" from the great beyond.

I believe various tools such as Tarot cards, Ouija Board, I ching, etc. are just physical objects that help to bring our latent skills to the fore. I believe that prayer, meditation and the like are similar in that they are merely ritualistic actions we take to allow our conscious minds to tap into what the unconscious is experiencing.

Having said all that, I believe that most people who claim psychic skills are more or less deluded - not that they don't experience psychic flashes from time to time, but that they are silly enough to think that they are somehow meant to run around telling everyone stuff for the betterment of humanity, rather than understanding that actually the best and probably proper use of any psychic ability you may have is for YOU to work on YOU in order to futher YOU along your spiritual path.

If you want to understand your skills I would suggest you start with a disciplined practice of meditation.

Precognition (seeing the future) and communication with the dead are two completely different things. Wicca is a religion and it's not one that you have to choose-but it is one that you can if you wish.
You could possibly have the ability to communicate with the dead, but you wouldn't know unless you attempted it-possibly with a ouija board.

I have this gift too. Except, I dream about the past, things I do not know about. Things that have happened to my friends and my family. It is sort of amazing. I am not sure that you have a connection with the dead, I would have to hear more about it.
