I come here to mainly provide answers, and occasionally ask a (hopefully) thought provoking question.
This question was spawned by an answer I recently read which infered that if Christians want to know the answer to a question they know where to look (ie the Bible).
So I'm just wondering, do you come here because you have a real question and are looking for real help with that problem, or do you come here to hopefully answer some questions and get some food for thought?

BOTH.....I come here mainly to find interesting subjects and ideas that I may find interesting, have some knowledge of, or an opinion on. At times I really need an answer to something and unfailingly get some good ones, usually VERY quickly, too.
If I see that someone needs help on a topic I happen to know something about, I like the idea of being able to help in some way.
I like being able to ask questions, and I don't worry about points, since for me, that is not what Yahoo Answers is all about. However, they are an added bonus in a way; and can give a sense of accomplishment to the process. I have found answers here range from patently predjudiced, thoughtless, and sometimes mindless, to considerate, helpful above and beyond, really funny and also thought provoking and intelligent on many occasions.
I have received invaluable assistance here on a few things, and if nothing else, it keeps the 'ol grey matter active.
Yahoo Answers is a great forum for thought and can be an invaluable source of assistance. A lot of really caring people seem to come here, as well as the idiots and bigots who are found anywhere, anyway.

I come here to answer questions primarily. I've only asked five questions and that was all.
This R&S board gets much of my attention although I check out Etiquette, Music, the Military, and others.

Most of the time to provide answers. If something bothers me, however, I will ask a question about it and see what responses I receive.

I come here to answer, ask, have fun, and kill time. Even better are the times when questions/answers of others make me laugh. I can always use a good laugh.

Most people seem to come here to state their opinions, rather then ask questions. Many people also tend to mock others with their questions. I come here for amusement.

to answer where I can and be as helpful as i can
and occasionally ask questions , although the questions tend to be aimed more at uniting people than questioning their beliefs
i like to try and open peoples minds a little .. and their hearts a lot
