Is anybody "tired of" the gift of life?
Too "tired" to tolerate a message from the giver of life?
Really, everyone who respects and obeys God and Christ goes from door to door to teach his neighbors about the Bible's good news. It is interesting that only Jehovah's Witnesses are so clearly identified with the preaching work; globally more than 6 million preach publicly each month.
(Matthew 28:19,20) Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you.
(Acts 5:42) Every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.
(Acts 20:20) I did not hold back ...from teaching you publicly and from house to house
Jehovah's Witnesses respect clearly-posted "No Trespass" signs. Witnesses well understand the nature of many householders.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching... You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.
Really, if someone goes out of their way to disregard Christian preachers and preaching, what is he saying about himself?
(Luke 10:1-17) After these things the Lord designated seventy others and sent them forth by twos... “He that listens to you listens to me too. And he that disregards you disregards me too. Moreover, he that disregards me disregards also him that sent me forth.”

The way I permanently got rid of the Jehovah witnesses was to get out my bible and do a pow wow with them. They like to say that only 144,000.00 people will go to heaven and I tend to disagree because nothing could be farther from the truth. For starters all children who die before the age of accountability automatically go to Heaven and I think that's every child younger than 12 or 13.Far more children than that have died since the beginning of humanity. Also it states somewhere in the bible (I can't see the bible right now,my eyes hurt) that 144,000.00 anointed Jews from the twelve tribes of Israel will remain behind during the Tribulation after the rapture to lead more people to Christ. After showing the Jehovah witnesses that I already knew better and wasn't a sitting duck they left never to return again. And that's how to get rid of them.I happen to be a Christian but I don't believe in religion of any kind.I don't need it to come between me and my Heavenly Father. My advice to you about all the others is to get a really big dog with a ferocious bark and put up killer watch dog signs all over your property with keep out signs as well.Tell them trespassers will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and if this still doesn't work then have them arrested.I went through the same thing a long time ago when I worked nights and slept during the day.I even had do not disturb day sleeper sings on my front door and they still knocked waking me up.But I didn't know what to do about it then and eventually moved.

I'm tired of the whole thing, too. Magazine salesmen, religious solicitors, church fundraising groups, all of it. I'm religious, but my religion has never once told me to go around knocking on people's doors. What I really love is the religious solicitors who try to argue with me, or even stand there cutting down my religion, instead of getting off my doorstep, as I politely asked them to. I have "No Trespassing" signs mounted all over the place, and if they step foot on my property, they can explain their presence to the police. I'm tired of fooling with them.

I know, right? A Jehova's witness came to my door a week ago, but I didn't answer because I'm not used to that kind of thing happening. I think I still have the book on my desk at home, keeping it so I can see what it is they believe because I have no idea.

My property is gated, and that gate was put there for a reason. If they defy the "No Trespassing" sign on the gate and come to my door, as far as I'm concerned, they're common criminals, regardless of what product or belief they're selling.

We are following Jesus command to preach (Matt 28:19,20) and the apostolic method of going from house to house (Acts 20:20). We don't know what anyone is doing when we knock on their door, and most people where I live, say they are not interested and I leave it at that, others are very interested and we have great discussions based on the Bible. I'm not going to exuse something I've been commanded to do.

same thing with the phone interruptions. But the law has sided with the telemarketer and it is our onus to get them off our backs. We have to jump through hoops to get them to leave us alone instead of the other way around.

Strange, most people complain that society is being wrecked by the lack of personal touch that email, blogging, and IM have brought. An actual human being comes to your door and wants to interact with you about things that actually matter and you say it is bad. What sort of music are you writing anyway?

I dislike the complete waste of paper from all the crap I find tucked in my door handle.
Seriously, stay off my property unless you are invited.
