Do you agree or disagree with this quote?


My argument is that if you know the origins of the world through science and you believe the big bang theory that a story like religion which tells us that the earth was created out of nothing, by some unknown thing called god who just magicly clicked his fingers and made the earth, that you could not possibly believe that god is real.

What are your opinions?

so god allows stoning.

A lightbulb in my house has gone and I'm too lazy to fix it. I looked in the Yellow Pages and found a number of light bulb changing agencies. There's:

A Christian one, a Muslim one, a Jewish one, an Atheist one, an Agnostic one, a Hindu one, a Pagan one, a Creationist one, one staffed entirely by clones of Jesus, another staffed by common ancestors between apes and humans, another by Greek gods and another by R&S regulars.

Which should I call? How many people should I expect from that agency?

I'm 16 and I recently saw the Truth about Christianity and once I did I felt so much more free like I had been locked up almost and now my life is so much better.

My pastor went on a missions trip to South America, and during the middle of the service a lady came bursting through the doors,

her baby had been dead for three hours yet she did not want to give it up.... she went to the front and cried out "I need You God." Then she handed that baby, to the minister everyone began to pray for the baby and it came back to life...

This is no lie, the doctors had checked the kid out, and he was dead, they said they couldn't save him, they were ready to put him in the morge but you know what? God saved that baby and brought him back to life...

Isn't that awesome?

Well if you see the signs and know that something very extremely bad is coming, but you have no base of time to work from and no reasources to do anything about it what good is a phrophesy and why would we even get a clue if it is was of no benifit for us.

I am looking for ideas for things to do with my kids on Sunday. Right now we get up and get ready for church, go to church, come home and have lunch and then the kids watch TV. I want ideas that are in line with the idea of keeping the Sabath day holy, but are still uplifting.

I've noticed that some religious people here have been creeping into other groups and cursing people, like homosexuals.

Why?

You act so holy but some of you are CURSING other people.

Also, if you can answer this. Why is it that homosexuality is viewed as wrong? If god did create humans, than he gave homosexuals these feelings, they can't help what they were born with. So, why outcast people that are living their lives the only way that they can, if they want to be happy.

Many years ago my father saved my sister and I from the sinful influence of the woman who bore me. He took us to Venezuela where we could be raised in the true church and have our virtues preserved. She has finally found us and is demanding that we return to her. I do not wish to go, but I am not ready to write off her soul yet. If she would just come to live with my father, my sister, and his other wives and renounce her wordly ways she could be saved. How can I convince her to come? She does not see what a loose and indecent woman she is and persists in tormenting my family and our wondful father!!!
