Just look at what they believe! The story of Joseph Smith finding magical gold plates, and that Adam and Eve were in St. Louis (or somewhere close to there.)

Do you need more proof beyond their beliefs?

It's Mormons, with an 'o'.

They are a different form of Christianity, following the Joseph Smith 'corrected' version of the King James Bible, with the Book of Mormon, and the Doctrine and Covenants along side the Bible.

They believe that God was once human, like us, and that we can become gods ourselves. They have a prophet, who is much like the Catholic Pope. They believe that all of Christianity, except temselves, is corrupt, and that they re-instituted the true Christian church on Earth.

As far as trusting them, they are some of the most moral and spiritual people I know. They simply have different beliefs than what is considered the pale of orthodoxy.

however else barack hussein obama, II could be he's not incompetent. He *is* a consummate minion. obama is following his grasp's orders to the letter. understand that a extensive area of the pastime of president is that of "objective" in that the president ought to take blame, if not duty for each little thing that happens for the time of his term of place of work. That redirects suspicion from the easily gamers to the figurehead and *maximum* anybody isn't conscious of the shadow government that unquestionably runs this united states of america.

Mormons truly want to serve God but they have been decieved by generations of false prophets. They believe that Jesus is the created son of God, brother of Satan. The Bible says Jesus is God and has always existed. The Bible says that you are right with God through faith, through Christ's substitutionary death on the cross. Mormons believe that you are right with God by obeying all the ordinances of the Mormon church, including temple marriage. Mormons believe that special works in their temple make you right with God. The Bible says that the temple ordinances and sacrifices were all fulfilled by Christ's death and ressurection. The Bible says that if anyone- even an angel of light preaches a gospel that is contrary to the gospel of the Bible they are to be accursed. The Mormons claim their gospel, which is vastly different from the Bible's caim from an angel of light- Moroni. Please contact these groups before making a decision to join the mormon church.

Okay, to start, the bible tells us the first will be last, the last will be first, meaning that those in positions of power will not be so in heaven. The mormons seem to think this means that if they're deacons in the mormon church, that they'll be little demi-gods with their own planets and everything after death. Not only is that whacked out, its not in the least biblical. I do not trust any group that has the nerve to re-write the bible, in their own favor of course and alter it to make the pharasee's of their church (deacons), little demi-gods. There's other whacked out notions too, but that's the one that brings to mind the word blasphemy to me the most.

Well for one they have a completely seperate book they esteem as high as the Bible, and the Bible clearly states that there will be nothing else added to it's words.

...well, yeah, thats enough for me.

Accept for the fact that the entire religion was based upon a dude who claims to have had an angel apear to him and give him the book of morman, yet the angel "buried it" so he was the only one who has ever seen it... hmmmm.. , sounds a little shifty to me...

You should research the Mormons yourself. Look at the link below and that might give you ideas for more detailed, specific questions about the Mormon's belief systems.

You have to examine their beliefs for yourself and decide if you can accept them. Watch out for what people tell you on this page. Though this is America and we are supposed to be tolerant of religion, we're not. People are scared of anything that differs to much from traditional Protestant churches.

I know quite a few Mormons and they are all very nice people. I don't think they are corrupt, although they do have some beliefs and practices that I myself would not want to abide by. But that's the beauty of faith, each of us can decide for ourselves what we want to believe.

My advice to you would be to educate yourself about various faiths thoroughly before joining any of them.

Ask them about their beliefs in john the Revelator. If they refuse to answer, which they will. Then say you can't join until you understand this theology.

They believe John never died and is hiding on the earth waiting to pop up at the end times.
