I personal wheather or not you want to believe it do have prophetic dreams (some good some bad) and sometimes I dont want to change them and sometimes I do. In my experiance I have tried to change a couple and I did slightly but I only changed the path the outcome was always the same. I dont bother trying to change them anymore, I dont understand why I or anyone would be given this gift if they cant change the future but oh well......It might be different for others

The thing about prophecies, they are so vague that they can apply to all sorts of situations.

On the Penn and Teller show on Showtime, they make the children's song "Wheels on the Bus" into a prophecy and apply it to all sorts of historical events just to show how it is done.

You have other people who make all sorts of prophecies. Thousands of them and they try to get a little more specific. When they finally get one right, they announce it to the world and everybody things they predicted it. However, everyone ignores all of the times they got it wrong. Jean Dixon is an example of this.

What all of this comes down to, prophecies are not real. They have never been able to predict anything.

A prophesy is given to you so that you can be ready for it when it comes. It is more of a warning.

A prophesy is also given to you so that you can realize that the person who gave it was actually speaking for God, so that you will listen to, and preserve his words.

A prophesy is also given, so that you can recognize a certain person, either a really evil person or a person sent by God, when he comes, so that you can react appropriately.

We can not and have no power over changing the prophecy of god. The signs and wonders are out there and there's more to come. the prophecy is not for us to stop it it's for us to be aware and to reach out for the ones who are lost so they can hear the word of god. God is coming and he tells us how in the book of revelation. Prophecy is for us to be ready for the coming of Jesus Christ. So if you have family not saved it's time for them to know the truth because they have to make up their mind before it is to late.
God is coming to rapture his children and he's preparing us.

It depends on what the prophesy is for and where it's from....Do you know it's a valid prophesy? We know Jesus talked about signs of the end times and we can benefit from knowing Him and that He will help us through those times.

The context of a prophecy suggest that it will come true no matter what. If you can stop it, then it's a false prophecy.

Prophecy is used by those who are not true believers. Its used by those who want to use God to make money so far. Its up to God when to fulfill a Prophecy.

Well why don't you make a list of any that have come true?
Not like Nostradamus that only suggest an event but facts.

Jonah's prophecy to ninevah didn't come to past due to the repentance of the Ninevites. I don't believe John's revelation has to come to past, but unfortunately it probably will.
