There are many Islamic sites that are exclusively designed as a forum for hackers to destroy websites that criticise Islam. One of them is a high-profile moderate Islamic site that tries to attract non-muslims to Islam:

http://www.islamonline.net/arabic/science/2002/05/article01.shtml

Other sites also include:

http://www.jehadakmatloob.jeeran.com/al-jehada.al-electronic/home.html

http://www.moqawmh.com/vb/forumdisplay.php?f=9

What do muslims think of this? is it legal to ATTACK websites that oppose your ideas?

[all the websites above are in Arabic]

For years the Watchtower has taught that the UN is part of the Scarlet Colored Wild Beast of Revelation. However, from 1992 - 2001, they also had an intimate relationship with the UN as an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization). One of the requirements to be an NGO (granted only upon application by the applying organization) is "that the NGO share the ideals of the UN Charter."

Just four years earlier, The Watchtower 1987 September 1 p.20 stated:
“The United Nations is actually a worldly confederacy against Jehovah God and his dedicated Witnesses on earth.”
In view of this and other WT articles condemning any relationship with organizations like the YMCA, working as a janitor at a blood bank, owning stock in a tobacco company, etc., how can they justify this seemingly hypocritical relationship?

It seems akin to being a lobbyist for a Nazi gas factory during WWII, or selling stock in Mitsubishi (fighter planes) for the Japanese during that time.

(Hopefully I don't get any answers from people who don't believe in God, they just waste reading time and most of them are mean.) God sent them from the Garden, and in Genesis 3:22 it is written: "And the Lord God said, "The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever."
I can believe that he mentions nothing of where the garden is actually, because he doesn't want us to live forever. With all the ugliness that comes from knowing of good and evil, it is only horrible to me to imagine having to live the rest of my existence in it's misery, sure we can surround ourselves with happiness and goodness, but it doesn't stop evil from existing and working to bring about its own end for humanity. One God Loving Man said to me about the war between Good and Evil - "If you want to know who wins, read the end of the Book - Read Revelation!"

It's all well and good to have faith to give you hope that good things will happen. But to base a system of philosophical beliefs on faith doesn't make sense to me. Aren't you bothered by the fact that you've put trust in the unseen? Do you ever grow frustrated with not being able to prove what you believe?

Should marijuana be legalized? For just medical use or for personal use too? Or should it stay illegal? Please give me a better answer then "because it is bad" (What is sooo bad about it? please elaborate) or "because it is a gateway drug", (alcohol is a gateway drug)

I want to see how well informed you are on marijuana, whether you are stuck in the fifties on "reefer madness", or if you have actually taken a look at it and how it affects the mind and body, and the side effects of it, both long term and short.

I personally agree with Milton Friedman, may he rest in peace.

Artificial selection or selective breeding is where a creature with desirable characteristics is bread with another creature with desirable characteristics to produce the desired offspring. This is how all creatures were domesticated. Is it really to hard to consider that this could happen naturally in Natural Selection (proposed by Darwin as the process driving evolution) to produce the best suited creatures of an environment in the process known as evolution?

Look at how hard Christians are trying to stop biological research (cloning and stem cell research) and promote the teaching of creationism and intelligent design in our classrooms.

Part B) For Christians only: Are you all hoping to have us on par with Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan when it comes to scientific development or are you shooting even lower?

Hail to our turtle who makes the yellow flowers to bloom--who scatters the seeds of the cactus as she comes from the Land Divine!
Hail to our turtle who casts forth white flowers in abundance!
Hail to our turtle who shines in the thorn bush as a bright butter-fly!
Ho! She is our turtle--the turtle god of the earth. In the desert she feeds on wild beasts, and gives them to live.
Thus--thus you see her ever abundant in gifts to all flesh.
And as you see the goddess of earth give to the beasts, so also she is eating the green herbs and the fishes.
Hail to our turtle who casts forth yellow flowers to the sun from the Land Divine!
Hail to our turtle!!

Will you watch this film?
Apparently, 2012 will be a big year for planet Earth, at least according to many folk traditions: 2012 is supposedly to be a year of either great spiritual transformation -- or apocalypse. The Mayan calendar held that it would be a time when the existing world order would be reversed. Nostradamus forecasted that a rather large comet would rudely arrive on Earth's doorstep no later than 2012. The Roman Catholic Saint Malachy predicted that in 2012, the last Pope would arrive, triggering Judgment Day. And in both "The X Files" and amongst certain UFO theorists, 2012 is the year aliens invade Earth. Even regular, non-nutty scientists also speculate that in 2012 a polar reversal will take place on Earth, and that once the earth starts rotating in the opposite direction, natural disasters of unknown proportions may occur.

There's no greater atheist than me but just lately I've been having these questions popping up in my head that are bothering me. I used to reconcile them quite easily before but now I'm thinking my answers aren't satisfying enough. How can I live without drink? Is there really a life worth living without the buzz of alcohol? What'smore things seem to be conspiring against me! Why did I want to buy Bobby Ball's autobiography - I had no idea he was a born again Christian? Why did the Jehovah's Witnesses start knocking on my door at the same time? Why did the pamphlet they left me make some sense? Why did the questions it posed inspire me to read the Bible? I'm about to start ending my 9 month course of antidepressants next month and I feel very different even though I have relapsed twice with the drink. Man questions in my head. Am I now thinking clearly or am I more confused than ever?
