Where does the idea that God is good come from?

I just look at my body that used to be very sick and is now able to run marathons....among many other things.

if u designed everything then u make the rules for one thing .. but i think the idea is that God and things that are good and pure and perfect are the natural state ..... the corruption comes from satan and his fallen angels and us .... we are the source of evil and violence not God ...

Now that's funny I think just the opposite. Any bad you see is from mankind & the effects of sin.
