Sheldon,Primghar, Palina Iowa? If not I'll just muddle along in life on my own as a noncomformist whatever the heck I am.
I will still call myself half athiest, half Methodist despite all of you disagreeable people who say I can't be one or the other.

I go to First Baptist Church of Orlando.........which is very fundamentally sound in doctrine. I wouldn't be there if they weren't.

But I do have a bit of a problem with drama, smoke & lights as if I were at a broadway production. To me, there should be no place for things like that (including heavy metal) on a church platform.

The early church in the book of Acts set it up this way:
Reading of the word.....
Singing of a hymn or 2.....
Preaching & teaching......

Where have we gone wrong?

I am a Muslim woman who wears the veil. Many non-muslims looked at me like I am scum. Why is it that The Virgin Mary was able to cover herself (who by the way dresses very similar to Muslim women) and she was praised. Nuns cover themselves and no one says a word. Is being decent really such a bad thing?

Wouldn't that be a disaster?

Is that why God has given us lust and sexual desire? in order to prosper. Since humans can't procreate with same sex, isn't that the reason for it to be considered sinful?

Why do so many protestants hound on Catholicism because they pray to people other than God. When at the same time they pray to Jesus?

There are two prophetic statements in Bukhary [3645; 4120] about some people who challenged prophet Muhammed by asking if he knows if a new-born baby would look like his father or like his mother?

Prophet Muhammed said that if the father orgasm before the mother did, the baby would look like him, and vice versa.

(1) Is this true?
(2) was this confirmed by our Genetic scientists?
(3) Does the woman's orgasm have any effect on pregnancy?
(4) Does not inheritance depend on Genes rather than on who orgasm first?

(1) If a husband is violently beating up his wife and kids, is that reason to divorce him? Keep in mind, one of Jesus' opinions on divorce was that it was allowed ONLY if one person committs fornication (cheats). "Whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery." -- Matthew 5:32 (Also see Matthew 19:9)

(2) Since fundamentalist Christians sects apply biblical rules in everything, does that mean that their statistically HIGH divorce rate is only as a result of cheating?

(3) If so, why IS there so much infidelity in Christian marriages?

(4) Back to question (1) Jesus actually had another opinion about divorce and that was that it was 100% not allowed! (the scriptures Catholics refer to) Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery. -- Mark 10:11 (see Luke 16:18 too).

So last question- How do you rationalize this dilemma? And do forgive me for fitting 4 questions into one. LOL.

Noone in the USA wants war, not even G.W. Bush. Instead of, or even in addition to, protesting the war, how bout praying for fallen soldiers and pray for all the world leaders to end all wars. Prayer is powerful, but everyone needs to do it.
Who is with me?

Before God created this planet and the people on it, he knew everything that was gonna happen. That's kinda what all-knowing implies.

Which means he created Adam and Eve, knowing Eve would eat the apple. He knew in the end that would lead having to flood the entire planet and killing all his creations. He knew that he would have to send his Son to our planet to die for us. He knew that our selfishness would lead to wars, and the death of 30,000 kids by day caused by starvation.

He knew about the holocaust, WW1, Bush, 9/11, Tsunamis, Earthquakes, etc, etc. He knew he would have to smite two cities someday.

Knowing all that, He created Adam and Eve. Why?
