Sheldon,Primghar, Palina Iowa? If not I'll just muddle along in life on my own as a noncomformist whatever the heck I am.
I will still call myself half athiest,half Methodist despite all of you disagreeable people who say I can't be one or the other.

Hi,
Maybe you are a believer who is tired of hearing nonsense that comes from one church after another. I am. I've studied
in the manuscripts for over 35 years now,
and I do not attend any church.
There is only one church i have found in that 35 years that will teach the truth
(and you won't believe how different the manuscripts are from whats taught in the churches) and if you are not in their area,
they have a teaching program on cable tv
and satelite; They do not ask for money;
ever. They teach from the manuscripts
line by line, verse by verse. The Pastor is fluent in five languages including all of the Biblical languages. He assists in transcribing hard to read finds at arch. digs.
He was called in for his help with the dead sea scrolls.
The name is Shepherds Chapel, they are in Arkansas, and they would send you a get started cd (free) but they will never call you;
they are college-level and up, study of the Word of God. You might find study with them very refreshing. Their phone number
is: 1-800-643-4645; get the free cd, listen to
it, and if the Bible manuscripts make sense to you, then you will at least be sure of what you are, Christian. And if not, you'll know that too. At least you won't have to walk around confused anymore.
But don't worry about being a nonconformist; the Bible states that the mass majority (the conformers) will be the ones doomed in the end. The few that will not conform will find themselves on much better spiritual ground. check it out. good
luck to you.

i do not know of this area but i do know that churches of Christ(not united church of Christ) are nondenominational and are found everywhere. Maybe try the phone book are ask around? I am church of Christ , i have been all my life so therefore i am aware that we are non denominational.The churches of Christ
We are undenominational and have no central headquarters or president. The head of the church is none other than Jesus Christ himself (Ephesians 1:22-23).
Each congregation of the churches of Christ is autonomous, and it is the Word of God that unites us into One Faith (Ephesians 4:3-6). We follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and his holy Apostles, and not the teachings of man.

You may fit into a Unitarian-Universalist congregation. There's one in Storm Lake:

and one in Sioux City:

I just wanted to say that "Creator" gave us the greatest gift which is "freewill" no belief is right or wrong and choosing to beleive how you want about what you want is your choice and it isn't wrong...

You need to know what they believe in. A statement of what they believe.
A creed.
You need to have it in writing.
When they deviate from it, you whack at them. Out loud in front of the congregation.
