Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell are called American Taliban by some and yet to my knowledge they have yet to create militias to eliminate Presbyterians or Catholics in their communities like Islamic militants do in literally every Islamic nation. What is the reason?
Hint: the answere I'm looking for is pretty damn obvious.

This is in response to a question posted by bettierage in which a christian responded with: " Jesus is warming up the charcoals for you right now sweetie pie."

Where does Jesus say that he is responsible to warm up the charcoals? Is he responsible for hell? I thought it was created for the devil and his angels, and not for humans.. or was this some kind of invitation to a christian barbeque?

A lot of innocent children don't get enough food, and in some places even starve to death. Other children have to work in sweat shops for 14 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 25 cents an hour. Some children, orphaned or abandoned by their parents, have to beg on the streets. Other children are repeatedly whipped and spanked by their fathers or step-fathers.

Many of these children won't go to heaven after they die, because they have a different religion from Christianity, and will never have a chance to accept Christ as their savior. But if God won't allow them into heaven, at least He might try to reduce the amount of pain and suffering they are experiencing now.

So could God improve the present lives of these children if He wanted to?

I'm sorry my last question was so long, and I appeciate the answers, but this is the question I wanted answered:

If you say you are Pro-life, are you Pro- all life, or just Pro-fetus?

I am not arguing with you being against abortions, that's fine, you can think what you want.

But shouldn't Pro-life mean you think ALL life is sacred?

Do you believe that your God wants you to be affluent, poor or just economically comfortable. Please answer truthfully and don't say what you think you SHOULD say. I'm curious as to what you really think.

Perfect beings can do no wrong, so god would have HAD to intentionally make them ever so slightly less than perfect in order to allow them to succumb to temptation.

This means god intentionally "set the stage" for their fall from grace, in fact he would have known from the instant they were created they would sin. Mortal existence can allow their progeny return TO grace, but only by enduring all the punishments for an action god KNEW they would commit from the start.

He sits back and watches all this.

God is a sadist.

There is a prophetic statement told by prophet Muhammed where he told his companions that angels came to him, opened his chest, took his heart out, cleaned it, stuffed it with faith, and returned it back to his chest. He even showed his companions the marks left from that operation.

Did not angels know that cleaning the heart will have nothing to do with faith and that the operation was supposed to be in his head (not in his chest)?

Pro-life is a term that uses spin so they advocates appear a certain way. Many pro-lifers eat animals killed immorally, support war and the death penatly.

Pro-choice people are refered to by pro-lifers as "baby killers." (Notice the spin the pro-lifers use by refering to the fetus as a baby)

Unless "Pro-lifers" are prepared to become vegetarians (we could feed all the hungry dying people in the world if we used our livestock land for veggies), animal rights advocates, anti-war pacifists, death penatly protestors, and environmentalists (the Earth is alive, and we are destroying the life on it) then I suggest they pick up a new label without the spin. Pro-life means Pro-life. It means you think ALL life is sacred.

So for people against abortions, are you Pro-life, or just Pro-fetus?

I feel I must share this personnal testimony. More then twice in my life now it has saved my hide. I promise you from the bottom of my heart. You can get your miraculous Rosary beads and Rosary directions on how to say the Rosary from a religious store or Catholic Church gift shop. Will you try it before you think negative about it, without even knowing?

Since the role of Woman has changed dramatically over time by Feminists has it helped really? Maybe it was the MAN who reallly needed to change rather than the woman by the teachings of Christ ?

Men can father children if thier healthy well into his 80's look at Hefner. Women risks many probelms by delaying childhood after 35. (Even with Medical Advancement)

Rappers sing about women being B**tches and H**S.. Women of young ages think they can be as promiscious as men have risking all sorts of unwanted pregnancies and a epidemic of HPV (Venereal Disease) Conodleeza Rice has had ro sacrafice a Family, Husband, men do not have to sacrafice. This is how you think Men value women more today?

Abortion may be termination of a fetus but if abortion was illegal more abortions would be done illegaly and by more unsanitary and worse conditions killing the mother sometimes and still killing the fetus. Suicide rates would go up. It's wrong to make the mother suffer in instances where she was raped or the condom broke after she used adequate contraception.

I don't particularly agree with abortion but making it illegal would cause more harm to the world. Think about this before you decide it should be illegal.

After numerous arguments about religion vs science, I have a question, more of a challenge for everybody here.

I challenge everybody in Yahoo! Answers, who stumbles across this question, to give me one bit of proven scientific evidence that challenge the Islamic teachings brought by the Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him) over 1400 years ago. Give it your best shot.

The best answer I've got from this, is that bad doesn't actually exhist (ie it exhists only in the mind of humans.)
Thanks to Rene B for that one. makes the most sense.

But why would God allow bad to exhist in our minds or otherwise.
I know to build character, but if he truly has ultimate power, can he not build character another way?
This is not a coplaint against God by the way, it is a genuine question.

If inteligent life forms are found on a distant planet, what happens to religion? I think many religious people will go on believing in their religion and not think anything of it, because you dont follow religion for answers, you follow it for a belief/ideas.

I have been under the Bishop's annointing and teaching, preaching, singing and praying all of my life, and as a young adult I would stray in and out the church, I was raised by my grandparents who were HIGHLY appointed officials in the church practically quoted him in everything they said and would hit the highway everytime he would go out of town to preach. They would listen to the tapes on the way to hear this "GREAT MAN of GOD"! I was to young at the time to understand why they felt so impelled to follow him, and not being able to alot of the things the worldly kids did I would rebel and do the things defiant type children would. But the funny thing is you can't exscape GOD! When I knew that there was no way out for me in alot of personal situations I would run down to the Temple and there would be Bishop preaching like he had wrote that sermon personally for me! I have a six yr. old and I am truly greatful that he had an opportunity to come and be annointed by our Bishop!

How can we be sure that the theists aren't right after all? I would argue that rational thought (as opposed to 'faith') is validated by its results - basically, all of science and technology and medicine and so on... but a theist (I suspect) would argue that their faith will be validated after they're dead. Is that a justifiable point of view? Is there any other kind of argument for faith being valid?
