No you don't have to be Catholic to say the Rosary. I am Catholic only I don't practise in church every Sunday. I went through 22.5 years of sexual assault by an uncle and the Rosary kept me sane and on the right path. It was the best thing that ever happened to me is the Rosary. Its miricles and blessings are for all to experience not just the Catholic's. Its for everyone who has respect and love and faith. This was a pleasure to read for a change. An everyone please keep your faith hope and love, we all need it and need to share it too. Take care Heather

My impact of the act of the Rosary is that that's in direct disagreement with Matthew 6:7 which says to not use repetitive prayer. The Rosary, as defined to me via a former Catholic Father, incorporates: The Apostle's Creed 6 Our Father's fifty 3 Hail Mary's 6 Glory Be's 6 Oh My Jesus's He additionally shared that the Rosary would desire to be performed, ideally, 4 cases in line with day. that's over 200 Hail Mary's in one day. How is this not in conflict with Matthew 6:7?

God bless you. You are 100% right, you do not have to be Catholic to pray the Rosary. I happen to be Catholic, but it gives a leap of joy to my heart when I hear of more of my brothers and sisters in Christ praying the Rosary. With as much anti-Catholic sentiment out there, especially when we speak of the Rosary, did you know that it's the prayer of the gospel?

I wish more people would take an honest look at the prayers and where they come from. For me, the Rosary is one of my most beloved, precious prayers. The peace and meditation I get from the Blessed Mother give me such healing, such peace. My only fault is that I do not pray it as often as I should.

Thanks for your testimony. It was great to hear it. God bless you, and take care.

When Our Lady of Fatima appeared in Fatima, Portugal in 1917 to three little shepherd children Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta She came with a message from God. She urged the faithful to say the daily Rosary (at least five decades) and wear the brown scapular. These two means will protect them from the fires of hell, She said.
A brown scapular of Carmel is to be blessed by a Catholic priest and then worn round the shoulders , under your clothes at all times.Even a non-Catholic can wear it.

For more information on the brown scapular and the Rosary go to www.fatima.org. Here are some interesting articles from that website:

Also here is a very interesting documentary. Please take some time to watch it . It is very crucial to what is happening in the Middle East and world events today and is related to what Our Lady said to us at Fatima where She had also asked for the Consecration of Russia. Why Russia you may ask? Watch on.

Prayer comes in many forms and from many people to many different deities.
The praying of the Rosary is just one of them and can be done by any Christian who wishes to.
The Hail Mary makes it a Christian adoration because it is to the Mother of Christ and only those who believe this would say it. Any prayer for a good and worthy cause is a wonderful thing. Prayer for an unjust cause is not.
Type in "Rosary" and there is a site that shows you how to pray it. You don't even need to go to a store for directions.

I'm a Catholic, and know plenty of Protestants who pray the rosary. There are also Protestant-friendly versions of the rosary, and many other prayers that can be done on beads, such as one of my favorites, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Prayer is open to anybody and everybody.

no ablsoultely..The blind faith shall come from withinf you nomatter wherther from a rosary or from something else.
There is rosary in Hinduism also(called "mala"and reciting is called "mala jupna"), There are 108 beads in it.
If you wanna recite the Rosary just get a long necklace of beads(or a real rosary) and say a small name of your God or belief, every time you fell a rosary bead, till you reach the point from where you started,

Of course not! The Rosary is a valuable sacramental, and should be used by ALL Christians. The intercession of the Virgin Mary is powerful, and she is the greatest mortal advocate to God the Father we have.

...if you can take me to anyplace in Gods Word where it says to do that... I'll do it... Gods Word !!! The Bible... not the books of catechism or Rome's church books... not the books of the Priests or Bishops... Gods World, The Bible...(period)

...Gods Word has NO such command, direction or "thing" you must do or recite... it clearly says... "I Am (Jesus) the way the Truth and the Light" ,,,,"no one comes to The Father accept by Me". (period)..... what you have experienced is God "grace"...His Amazing Grace in your life... (You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free)....
