How many out there like me have felt how influential Bishop G.E. Patterson has been in their lives?

I have been under the Bishop's annointing and teaching,preaching,singing and praying all of my life, and as a young adult I would stray in and out the church, I was raised by my grandparents who were HIGHLY appointed officials in the church practically quoted him in everything they said and would hit the highway everytime he would go out of town to preach. They would listen to the tapes on the way to hear this "GREAT MAN of GOD"! I was to young at the time to understand why they felt so impelled to follow him, and not being able to alot of the things the worldly kids did I would rebel and do the things defiant type children would. But the funny thing is you can't exscape GOD! When I knew that there was no way out for me in alot of personal situations I would run down to the Temple and there would be Bishop preaching like he had wrote that sermon personally for me! I have a six yr. old and I am truly greatful that he had an opportunity to come and be annointed by our Bishop!

I dont know who that is but I do know that the word of God is the word of God. I am glad that there a re good brothers out there putting out the word of God.

You have to have the athority to preach the Gospel of christ and maybe you did not feel the sprit and thats why you were rebelous and just feared the word of God instead of listening to it.

The athority is the holy melchezidic priesthood which christ carried.

There is one true church with Bishops on this whole entire planet that we can coucil with that all speak the same word and carry the true athority of Christ and I think that is the way God intended in.

I testify that there is one true church that not only speaks the word butt lives it and has the athority to preach it. That carrys the Keys of the ministry and is led by a real and living prophet.

It is a challenge in the book of Mormon that if we read it and pray in the name of Christ and ask if it be true he will manifest it throught the holy ghost.

All bishops should carry the athoriity of Christ. Otherwise you cannot know there true heart and intentions.

Hello pretty,

I would like to say that my Grandmother and I both adored Bishop Patterson teaching, preaching, singing and praying. We both were so affected by his passing- to the point where I had to call a pray line for pray because we just could not understand WHY HIM.

It was explained to me that he was tired and that he had suffered from prostate cancer, however he slipped away of a heart attack, very peacefully. I understand your defiant behavior as a child, however; I believe you was more affected by his teaching at that time without knowing just how much.

I to am truly grateful of have had the opportunity to come to know such a great man of God. I would order his tapes on a regular basis for my grandmother and me. Don't forget to see his home-going on THE WORD. It is channel 486 in area, Washington State, cable TV from 11am to 1:00 pm.

Also please keep me and my grandmother in your prayers, because I am still struggling with his passing. Although I do accept it, it is just hard for me to believe his is gone.

Beck has plenty of have an effect on on me. Out of the entire musicians I can consider of, he is the only whose image will exhibit up subsequent to 'musician' within the dictionary.
