Pro-life is a term that uses spin so they advocates appear a certain way. Many pro-lifers eat animals killed immorally, support war and the death penatly.

Pro-choice people are refered to by pro-lifers as "baby killers." (Notice the spin the pro-lifers use by refering to the fetus as a baby)

Unless "Pro-lifers" are prepared to become vegetarians (we could feed all the hungry dying people in the world if we used our livestock land for veggies), animal rights advocates, anti-war pacifists, death penatly protestors, and environmentalists (the Earth is alive, and we are destroying the life on it) then I suggest they pick up a new label without the spin. Pro-life means Pro-life. It means you think ALL life is sacred.

So for people against abortions, are you Pro-life, or just Pro-fetus?

I've seen the procedure Uncle. How is killing a young fetus with no conciousness, pain or pleasure, worse than killing a baby cow which has been treated horrible and made to suffer it's whole life? Does it's flesh look different?

I AM NOT SAYING YOU SHOULD START SUPPORTING ABORTIONS. MY BEEF IS THAT YOU CALL YOURSELVES PRO-LIFE BUT ONLY SUPPORT THE LIFE OF FETUSES.

A fetus or embryo at less than 22 weeks can no more think nor feel than a red blood cell. Having an abortion before that time is no less moral than getting liposuction.

Pro-life is a specific term used for a specific situation. Just because it has the word "life" in it, doesn't mean it applies to all living things. If you want to take it that far, you might as well stop eating plants, stop squishing bugs, etc.
We could all twist pro "choice" into something entirely unrelated as well, but anyone with common sense knows this doesn't apply to any choice, it applies to the choice of abortion. Most people know better than to think that just because you are pro-choice, doesn't mean you want to go around terminating every life on earth...so why should those who are pro-life be put into such a broad category as you are attempting to do?
I consider this argument to be a little ridiculous. You think you have made a valid point, but in fact, you have only turned the matter into a frivilous one.

Let me see if I can clear up the confusion. Pro-Life, as it is commonly used refers to people who are against taking INNOCENT HUMAN life. There is a vast distinction between killing in self defense, executing a murderer, or killing in a just war, and the taking of an innocent babies life.

The medical term "fetus", does not refer to a different species. A fetus is a human being, just as a child or adult. The idea of taking the life of an unborn baby (fetus) is akin to taking the life of an 85 year old man. We can arbitrarily decide that he is no longer useful, and maybe conclude that he would be better off dead. But, it is not our decision whether of not death is preferrable. The same situation exists for unborn babies. Killing them is murder: the wanton taking of innocent (human) life.

The idea of taking life for food has little to do with the pro-life position. Some form of life, either animal or vegetable is necessary to sustain our lives. If you feel morally superior by avoiding animals as food, what of the rights of vegetables?

Obviously, vegetables don't have rights, and neither do animals. People do have rights, and paramount among these is the right to life. People forfeit this right when they commit a capital crime. People tryng to take anothers life are also liable to loose their own.

I have never understood the liberal mindset. They want to keep abortion safe (for whom? certainly not the baby) and legal, but they hold candle-light vigils when a murders is about to be executed.

“If men harm a woman with child so that here fruit depart her…they should pay a fine as determined by a judge.” This seems to say abortion is a minor sin in God's eyes.
Exodus 21:22 KJV

First of all this verse seems to say that even God cares little about the fetus.

Second, I have also wondered how many of the pro life people have actually adopted one of the thousands of orphan children who are waiting for a family

i have two takes on abortion.

1) It should be decided among women because they are the ones having to deal with it. Screw male politicians who have an opinion on abortion because they won't really know how it would feel.

2) The government should just BAN abortion and start legislating on any special circumstance. For example, a father molests his daughter and gets her pregnant. ewww, that calls for an abortion right there. I mean ican't judge myselft on what to abort, and that's why we got Supreme Court judges. People might say "Ohhh, but there are sooooo many cases to look at." Then i say let the courts look at each case one by one. If the topic is important enough to debate for this long period of time, then why not take the time to carefully look at each case. Let's start drawing the lines in the gray areas and have the starting point at BANNING abortion. "Oooh, what about rape victims?" Like i said let the court decide. A ban would definitely curve unexpected births. "But he used a condom," a sixteen-year old girl. You weren't having sex in the first place. Go to school and pick up a book. That will teach her a lesson.

Pro life is a term that was in use well before you were born, it is an appropriately used term to devulge what is truly wrong with abortions, that it is the killing of a HUMAN BEING, not an animal, PETA takes care of that. Pro life has never been a term to be associated with the killing of animals. BTW most pro lifers do not believe in the killing of prisoners in any way, they also resist unjust, unholy wars, get your fact straight.
Have a great day and God bless, thanks for the opportunity to spread the truth.

i saw a brief video many years ago of an abortion. it was just horrific. just because a baby hasn't come out of the womb yet, doesn't mean it can't feel pain. what is the difference between a baby inside the womb or outside? just location. i cringe when i hear people say "let the mother make the choice of abortion'. who is speaking on behalf of that growing baby?
and someone posted that the man shouldn't have any part in the decision - why wouldn't he? it's half his! just like a woman should not be able to put a baby up for adoption without the father's consent - it's half his!
grrrrrrrrrrr - i hate this topic

Pro-life concerns "HUMAN" life at the beginning till end of life. I am for protecting fetus's and for helping the terminally ill without administering euthanasia.

"HUMAN" since God made mankind in his image. I also am for animal rights as God also said to take care of the animals. However, God also gave the okay to let us nurish ourselves with the animals.

I do not belive in calling "Pro-Choicers" Baby killers. The reasons a woman will have an abortion is because:
1. Low Self Esteem (or too much pride).
2. No confidence in her sexual partner.
3. No support from her family.
4. No support from her friends.
5. No hope from society in the future: No help w/ baby, war, genocide, rape, ponography, crimes against love and family (divorce, beatings, & adultry), and overall poor outlook for human condition.

So, by calling the woman names, You're lowering her self esteem and forcing her to have an abortion. What needs to happen is to have more ppl reach out and let the woman know it will be alright and good to have a baby instead of throwing stones (in the form of words) at her.

I tried being a vegatarian, I really did, but it's hard to eat what doesn't agree with you. To be fair, I don't eat a lot of meat, either. I eat what I need to live.

How many pro-choicers are vegatarians? I'm pro-human life. I don't believe in killing babies (born or unborn), or capital punishment or war. I believe that human life is sacred.

I'd just like to point something out...

Vegetables are alive too.

If being pro-life means believing ALL life is sacred, that includes plant life.

How many vegetables had to die for your salad, huh? I'll bet it was more than the cow that had to die for my steak. And mine meal's more filling.
