“And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the Lord, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the Lord had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter” (1 Samuel 6:19).

I know that as a Christian we are called to be nice. But what if it is imperative you convert someone? Is there an equivalent to a Christian conversion blitz? It is imperative I convert this person, or my life will be severly affected and they will drag me down with them. Help!

Okay... I consistently try to explain to this guy that EVERYONE is born atheist in that we have lack of belief in God... and that we don't NEED to know the concept of God to deny it!

What he doesn't realize is that one is either... all their life... atheist or theist. When one is born (s)he isn't NEITHER. You're always one or the either and humans have simply given them names.

Atheism is the default position. Theism is TAUGHT.

Why doesn't he understand that babies are indeed atheists?

There is a prophetic statement from Sahih Bokhary that says that prophet Mohammad killed them men of Banul Nadir and enslaved their women and children.

Was it that simple to enslave children who did nothing wrong?

Stop pretending you are having a conversation. Don't tell me you talk with God unless your eardrums vibrate from the sound of his voice.

There is no way anyone has seen God to verify it. Do you just simply believe what the bible feeds you without criticizing the outragous claim or is it assumed because people are human-centric?

Since I've converted to my current faith, I've considered myself a Christian. However, I've had a few Christians say my beliefs are more pantheistic or Christo-pagan. What's your opinion? I'll put the basic gist of my beliefs here. Sorry if it's long.

First of all, I do believe in Jesus Christ as messiah. However, I don't believe in the trinity as most Christians describe it. I don't find it to be supported by scripture. I believe there is just God, who IS everything, all matter in the universe, the laws of physics, and the laws of morality that go with them.

I found this video and I love the song, it's so hauntingly beautiful. I'm fairly sure it's Arabic, but I don't know Arabic and I can't read the subtitles (I'm going to assume it's Turkish, though I could be wrong).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ijwwn9qv0...

Can someone translate it for me? Also, who is singing?

... if he were reincarnated, and he read a religious text, agreed with the basic message, but realized that God did not write it, and that humans did?
Would he tell people that it is arrogant for humans to think that they could know what God thinks? Would he tell people that it is wrong to voice one's own opinion as God's?

From what I understand Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Christ. So how do you get bunnies and egg hunts from Christ rising from the dead? That's quite a stretch isn't it? This is not just a rhetorical question I actually want to know.

I am a skeptic, but I have had unexplainable things happen in my life why would these things happen in my life. I am a realist yet I have a recording of angel singing with no explaination.
My uncle's daughter who I never saw before appears to me in a dream and I later find out that she died of kiddney faliure.
The day my sister-in-law's husband died I had gotten a verbal warning out of nowhere that someone in the family had died.
The night before a seris of tornados went through our area. I had a dream of tornados, hail, and total destuction. I had woken up from the dream because it was so vivid, but something told me to go back to bed, and not to worry because no one had died. The next day there were a seris of bad tornados in a town south of where we were and no one had died.
I can not explain these events in my life and why would I even be told if I could not stop something from happening or change the circumstance.

The "EARTH DIVIDING", This is scientific proof that the bible speaks the truth. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/aso/tryit/tectonics/intro.html

Only it didn't happen millions of years ago, but only like 4000 years ago.

Genesis Chapter 11:1; The whole world spoke the same language, using the same words.

Genesis Chapter 11:9; That is why it was called Babel, because there the LORD confused the speech of all the world. It was from that place that he scattered them all over the earth

After the dispersion at Babel, as mankind journeyed from Shinar, they each went to various locations across "Pangaea" all earth. When all
tribes were in their destined place, God then slowly divided the massive landmass into the continents we have today. The earthquake (which began the continental breakup) was such a significant event that a man named his own son after it.

We read in Genesis 10:25 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was "the earth divided"
