A forced conversion is no conversion at all!!!!! If it is "imperative that you convert this person, or you life will be severely effected" as you say, then I suggest you live as the Bible tells you to, use your life as a witness, and pray like your life depends on it.
If this person is going to "drag you down" as you say, get rid of them NOW!!!!!!! Your salvation depends on it. There is not one person on this Earth that is worth your own salvation. The Bible says that we are "not to be unequally yoked to unbelievers." The reason for this is simple they will do just as you said, they will drag you down. Our closest friends, and the people we are to spend the majority of our time with MUST be of like minds and hearts.
I know this sounds harsh, but the truth sometimes is hard to take. Jesus said that HE did not come to please everyone, but to divide the righteous from the wicked.

No, there is no way from the Christian point of view, to force a conversion. Because Christianity teaches that conversion is accomplished by the work of the Holy Spirit on someone's heart. Without that, there is no real conversion.

You can't force someone to convert. That's not what Christianity is about. You can certainly try to help them, but you can't force them. It's their right to believe what they want. If you're worried about them dragging you down, maybe you shouldn't spend time with them anymore. I hope it all works out for the both of you!!!

Nope, no way to force a conversion. The best thing to do is pray. Trying to force religion on people generally tends to backfire. Live a christian life and pray.

Let me tell you a little story.
There once was this woman brought before this really influential religious leader. The people who brought this woman forward wanted to one-up this religious leader, and so they told him that this woman had commited adultry.
They reminded this religious leader that under the religious law's they followed adultry was punishable by death through stoning. They challenged him to judge the woman, knowing that this religious leader preached tolerance and love, so that they might then accuse this religious leader of disobeying the law.
The religious leader thought for a moment and said “He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her.”
Shamed by his words, the men released the woman. When the religious leader found himself alone with the woman, he asked her who were her accusers. She replied, “No man, lord.”, choosing not to call them out by name, her heart free of malice towards them. The religious leader then said, “Neither do I condemn thee: go and sin no more.”
That religious leader? He was Jesus. You know, the guy Christian's listen to?
And one of the messages is to think beyond your religion, and not fall YOURSELF to religious hubris. You're not sinless. You never will be. But part of your FAITH is acceptance of that and the paths you take to releave suffering and spread goodwill.
You're not God, true. But do you really think he wants followers who follow him because they were FORCED? Or would he rather have followers embrace him through that act of free will he's blessed and cursed all human beings with?
If you don't feel like you should be with this person, and you feel like you can't help them? Leave. "And if your right hand leads you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose a part of your body than to have all of it go into hell."
A bit extreme? A bit harsh? But it sounds like thats the only choice you're willing to take.
Acceptance doesn't seem to be on your agenda here.

You can't force someone to convert. You will just push them away from you. There is nothing worse than a christian preaching to you, when you don't want them to. Besides if they are no good for you and will drag you down with them, stay away from them.

Well, in the past, death threats and torture were used, but modern day jesusians say this is bad to do.... they just use endless badgering and send little kids to cry at you when you are working in a library.. Seriously, If you NEED a person to be the same as you, you NEED help..

With true faith and time. But the conversion will still be by the others choice. It is imposable to force a belief, also ineffective to try. Remember that God does not insist or force. A question for you, if Jesus is your savior, who could possibly drag you to hell?

If you are worried about this person "dragging you down", it's best to cut him or her out of your life. You cannot force someone to embrace Christianity. That's brainwashing, not a love of Christ.

Remember that religion is simply a belief. A person can't be forced to believe anything. He could be convinced, but not forced. He could even be forced to say he believes, but if his mind tells him otherwise, he is not converted.
Forced belief is impossible.
