Which religion fits educated people most?

Ofcourse it's the religion that doesn't contradict science and even proove a lot of scientific facts that was recently discovered.
Ofcourse it's the religion that respects the mind, and doesn't contain a lot of strange things that doesn't fit in one's mind ( I'm about those who really respect their mind )

- For example: How could I believe that a God has 3 forms and he (((died))) (HOW WOULD A GOD DIE???) for our sins (WOW, DO WHATEVER YOU'D LIKE TO DO, even if you want to hit your parents beacuse The God (((died))) for our sins, Once he is the father, Once he is the son and once he is the holy spirit and after all that you tell me that they are all ONE (the father and the son are ONE????). How could I believe in religion that say whoever die on a cross is cursed and then I find out that THE GOD died on a cross. I don't think if you ask me to believe in all that things that you respect me.

- Or how would I consider a religion that says THERE'S NO GOD, and this is completely insulting one's mind.

Ofcourse it's the religion that truly puts Allah in a position that we can do nothing but to surrender and obey his orders.

Ofcourse It's Islam.

Honestly, I guess it depends on what you're educated IN. One must look for the religion that fits the facts as they know them. It's like finding any truth. You eliminate what you know to be false, and whittle it away until you are left with what you can only assume is true. I found that polytheism worked for me. It just doesn't work for me to think there is one huge force for good or whatever and to look at the chaos around me.

I take it past polytheism though, and am a reconstructionist. Reconstructionism is great for educated people as it has a tendency to make you even more educated. Reconstructionism is the act of reconstructing a lost religion. It takes research, respect for the culture and gods involved, and a lot of homework. I'm a Celtic recon. I have read a lot of medieval texts and archeology mags as a result, and speak a dead language.

You could also go wth Deism. The fact of the religion being that there are few enough facts about it, you'd not be pressed to look the other way when science contradicts your religion, as it won't. You might find that Zen Buddhism would work the same way, or perhaps Taoism.

Anyway, what you ultimately decide is between you and your brain.

Educated people belong to all types of religions. Education doesn't have that much to do with which religion you choose to be a part of although it may influence what you believe. In some religions they may hold a belief that you feel is illogical even if it is not because of all of your education, but it just depends. It also depends on whether or not you feel like you need all of the answers now.

This is the thing about religion it fits everybody the same educated and uneducated the same and it is stated in the bible that even a child can retain my words and I know this person that is not very educated but he can read the bible and can't read anything else you know God is a Good God and there is nothing I tell you nothing he can't do and he said that if there is anything you want and it done ask him through his son Jesus and have no dough in your heart and it will be given unto you he moved mountains and there is nothing that he will not do for a true belive this man has always wanted to teach Gods word and God gave him the desires of his heart just as he asked and believed that he was going to receive.

It all depends on what angle your looking at this topic from. Religion is "The Practice or Active Participation" that an individual performs in order to pay respect and honor their respective Diety. As for 'Educated', Being spiritually educated or highly educated are two different entities altogether. There is no way to link carnal knowledge to spiritual wellbeing without eventually sacrificing one for the other. Point being, where the individuals priorities lie. You could have an I.Q. that's off the charts! Yet, have no inkling of spiritual understanding. Or, you could be so spiritually in tune that a simple physics equation would make your brain freeze. Different strokes for different folks. Jesus is my Lord and Savior! That's the path I follow! -Peace.

I am not saying this is right or wrong, but many highly educated people (such as the environment at Harvard) are agnostic or atheist. Also, many have a general view of spirituality but do not believe in any one particular religion. That said, you can find educated people in every religious sector.

One that values constant learning. The Jesuit branch of Christianity, for example, or some forms of Buddhism.

I'd recommend my own religion, because most people I know who are in it ARE quite educated, but that I'm not sure that would be proper here since it's based entirely on my own personal experience.

"educated people" are supposed to be open minded, but no real dogma has a basis of open mindedness... IF it did..then A would not be right and B be wrong, or C be right and everyone believing in A has to be killed etc...

I see very little "open mindedness" in (western) religion... If you need something to believe in look to the East. Hindu/Buddha etc..those have been around a lot longer and seem to be more tolerant since they are both about being in harmony w/ nature and having balance in your life etc..not just having blind faith in an idea..
