Revelation 22
The River of Life
1Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever. 6The angel said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place."
Jesus Is Coming
7"Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book."
8I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had been showing them to me. 9But he said to me, "Do not do it! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers the prophets and of all who keep the words of this book. Worship God!"
10Then he told me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, because the time is near. 11Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile; let him who does right continue to do right; and let him who is holy continue to be holy."
12"Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. 13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
14"Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. 15Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
16"I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you[a] this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."
17The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.
18I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. 19And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
20He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon."
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
21The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen.
Notice this verse:
On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3No longer will there be any curse.
There this is what God originally intended us to be immortals living with him in Bliss until we rebelled via adam and Eve.

The Bible does not say specifically what happened to the Garden of Eden and the Tree of Life - at least not in Genesis.
The Book of Genesis does describe the location of Eden. If you check Genesis Chapter 2 (start at verse 10), we find that a river flows from Eden to water the garden.. and that river splits into four smaller rivers... two of those river (The Tigris and Euphrates) can be found in present day Iraq. It's not too hard a stretch to understand why the first civilizations in recorded history are believed to have been in and around Mesopotamia (the land between two rivers).
As for what happened to the Tree of Life... we know that an angel was stationed at the east end of the garden to protect it... however, we don't see it again until the book of Revelation. A fitting end to the most beautiful story ever written.

Actually the bible does say where the garden was located. The bible mentions four rivers that run through it, the pision, the Tigris and the Euphrates. I can't remember the last one that it says. most scholars think that the garden was in present day Iraq near the Tigris and Euphrates. there are no know accounts of the other 2 rivers ever recorded except in the bible, so they have never been found. we only know where the 2 of them are (Tigris and Euphrates). I hope this helps. by the way I am a former christian, so I know a lot about the bible and Christianity. I am now an Atheist.

God's banishment of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden was not a punishment, but rather a protective measure. After man ate from the forbidden fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, mankind became alienated from God. The Tree of Life grants us permanence and immortality. For this reason God expelled Adam and Eve from the Garden as to ensure that they would not solidify their alienation by eating of the Tree of Life - but rather in time, man through repentance and the work of God could be granted the gift of grace.

i've got faith your metaphor would not artwork for numerous motives. First being that the account of Genesis grew to become into written an prolonged time in the previous the debts of the Christ. Secondly the Tree of life and Jesus respectively served different applications. the 1st grew to become into to bring about the autumn of guy, whilst the latter grew to become into to boost him decrease back up (metaphorically of direction). to attempt to respond to your question besides the fact that i'm going to furnish this. you have hit on something extremely genuine right here that those 2 symbols in result are the cornerstones of Christianity. with out one the different is incomprehensible, there might desire to be a fall to % a redemption. If one or the different is taken out of the equation Christianity ceases to have which ability. is that this what you're in seek of for?

Adam and eve are representations of X & Y chromosomes, the garden of eden is a genetics workshop, the tree of life is the 'machinery' that powers the workshop and provides a backbone for creation. Sure, we may have been thrown out of the garden but we are building a new one - humans are starting to win the war against death and ageing, we are learning slowly to become the new masters of genesis. Once we have learned how to use the tree (COMPLETELY understand DNA & biology), we will be the new gods.

After Adam and Eve's fall, God sent cherubim to guard the garden, so none could enter. If you read Ezekiel, you'll see that the cherubim aren't those cute, cuddly, baby looking angles in paintings, they're frightening creatures. I honestly don't think the tree is there anymore, or if it is, its the one place on this earth no scientist or explorer has ever found, or ever will.

Most believe that the garden along with the tree of life were destroyed in the flood.
The bible does not specifically mention what happened to both, but we know the flood was global, so it very well could have been destroyed in that manner.
