In general (and no, this doesn't mean EVERY church of ANY flavor) Baptists are more conservative and Methodists more liberal. In fact if you take each to it's extreme they're about as far apart as you can get under the 'Protestant' umbrella.

Having said that I have been to a Baptist service that was almost as 'high' as an Epsicopal and have been to Methodist 'prayer meetings'. It's all in how those people who make up their church choose to worship.

It relies upon. once you're speaking approximately self sustaining Baptist churches, then that's the version. The Methodist Church has a governing physique. self sustaining Baptist churches are owned and operated via the pastor. in any different case, they are the two fundamentalist religions.
