I know there is free will, but jesus was meant to of help a blind man see and turned stone into bread or something, so why dont god make another son and do all them nice things again?

I can only speak for myself, but, I beleive in God for many reasons, yet my own personal exp. is that I have been raped, molested, beaten to a pulp from family members, in a gang, an addict and in prison.......I have asked the same questions many times until I finally decided to turn my life over to God and put it in his hands....I forgave all those that ever hurt me and to make a long story short..... I have a daugter i was never supposed to have, my life has done a complete turn around and I am happier than I have ever been!! Not only that, I know have the experiance to help others when the situation arises......Yet, I understand everyone has their own beliefs....

So much hostility. To understand the actions of God one must first understand God. Those things you mentioned above exist because of man's original sin. The original sin was not the eating of the fruit but the disobedience (spelled that wrong I think) toward God. This action cut us off from His divine presence and caused all the things society faces today. That is really the only thing that irritates me a little about people in general. Everyone wants to point the finger at God because it so much easier to blame a higher power than admit we were actually wrong about something.

People do not think there is a God. People know there is a God. I personally have felt His presence my entire life. What would someone think of my intellect if I said I do not believe a builder existed to build my house because I did not "physically" see him build it? Why is this concept SO HARD for so many people to understand?

In reference to your question about His son? He will return. But not before the time is right. Christ will appear in the sky for everyone on earth to see. The more a generation falls into apostasy, the more we are cut off from the Word of God.

The snake did not tell Adam to eat the fruit. His target was the woman who was more vulnerable to his intentions and she had Adam eat of the fruit.

I am not angry about anything. It just irritates me so much that peope always talk about keeping it simple when everything else but the Bible applies when it is the simpliest thing to understand. Take what you know as a human being, as a mother, a father, a son, a daughter, a wife, a husband,,etc and apply that to the true nature of God.
Anyone canhear God talking to them....that little "gut instinct" we all have telling us right and wrong? That is God's way of speaking to our sould....All we have to do is listen...

Because I've seen some prettyy unexplainable things.
My brother got in a REALLY bad car accident. ZHis truck flpped verlically, the back axel was TORN from the car and flew 75 feet into the neighboring field. The parametics showed up, took a good look at my brother, and he didn't even have one single scrathch on him,
The parametics were amazed that he was still conciouse from the accident, the other guy was out cold.

When my dad and brother went to the junkyard to go through the truck, My brother found a coin I gave him, it had an angel on one side and a prayer for a guardian on the other, underneath the driver's side seat.

You can take that stiory for what it's worth, but someone was watching my brother's life that day,
and i have many more stories like this one involving my family.

Well, some believe so they can have hope for better days. Some believe because that's how they are brought up, and they don't question, just believe. Sometimes people have unexplainable things happen to them. Other worldly things, and they realize there is something else to reality than we previously thought.
Maybe the latter is God, maybe not. But if something unexplainable and bizarre happens, maybe God can be real too.

PS if you found a talking snake, you'd be a billionaire most likelly.
PPS or PSS
There are probably more reasons why people believe.

Lets deal with one thing at a time!., 1. the bible don't speak about a talking snake, ( it called Satan a snake because he was low down. in the book of revelations it gives U all his titles) and the fruit they ate was the fruit of lies. 2. The lord create evil as well as Good. He created Satan for the day of evil, so don't be distress by the wickedness that go on in the earth, because sin brings on death, disease and wickedness. 3. If you understand prophesy, the lord will restore this earth in our life time in these last days, But the scriptures must be fulfilled. What is happening on earth must happen before the lord come back to restore this earth. Plain & Simple

You got It! Adam And Eve broke gods law. So God changed the earth into a crap place to live. God cursed the earth and so it has come to today. Adam and Eve were meant to live forever in the garden, their was no sickness or death or crazy child molesters. You do have free will and God is coming to restore this place back to beginning. All you have to do is believe that Jesus "God made man died for all sins" and you can live back in the garden to. See God sent Jesus to die for all sins even the first one.

This is not my only answer, but I ask you, what else is there to believe in? If there is no God, who can we put our faith in? What do we have to look forward to after we die? I KNOW there is some higher being out there. I believe it is God. It isn't because He puts food on my table, it's because He gave me life. He gave me a chance of an after-life; all eternity in Heaven by sending His only son to die for our sins. He LOVES us. Jesus can't be here all the time to lead us to the light. We were given free will to follow Him by FAITH not proof. Bad things happen because we are sinners. We have the choice to go the right way. And despite all the bad stuff that happens in this world, we have hope in knowing that we can be saved when we die.

Bad things do not happen in this world because of God. This is Satans world. The bible even says it. This is the world the devil wants, but if you accept Jesus as your savior you will live with him in paradise. I believe in God because I want to, and because I don't understand how people don't. Even the devil isn't dumb enough not to believe, he just knows humans are. Times where different in the old testament days. Even God talked directly to people. I don't know how the serpent talked but it did. And to correct you, it wasn't a snake until God cursed it to crawl on its belly for all times. Eves punishment was the pain of child birth. Well thats my explanation.

First of all, I don't think you should take the stories from the Bible literally. That's the fundamentalists' job. The stories were written down as similes to show all the great things (ok, some of don't appear too great to us, but remember some of them were written down 5000 years ago) God has done to mankind.
At that time, they didn't have the word "to be", so they told these stories to explain what God 'is'. Imagine you have to describe a person but cannot say "He is nice"...

Personally, I don't think God sent rapists, HIV and war down to earth to punish bad deeds, but who knows, maybe - maybe!! - He is just trying to avert the worst possible case... You can't tell.

But neither can you tell whether the Universe was created in seven days or started with one big bang (and if it did, where did the bang come from?). But lots of people (including me) take strength from the belief there is a God somewhere we can confide in and someplace we go after we die.
It gives me a feeling of belonging somewhere, to know that it's not just me standing out there.

I used to ask the same questions while I was growing up in an alcoholic abusive home. I was quite certain that there was no God because why would I have to live in that situation.
However, I came to know God, and when I turned away from him, my life got worse. Now, I am truly blessed with the life God has given me. He has taught me so many things, and I have grown alot through him. I see my past as an attempt to destroy my spirit, however God has turned it into a blessing for others, because through my testimony of God's work in my life, others are coming to have hope and trust, and are turning their lives over to God in and in return are gaining peace and closure.
