wouldnt it make sense that the god of the OT, the one who used public stonings as a form of punishment, uses a meteor to "stone us" publically before the angels?

Fiction never makes sense. We're toast from either:
1. The Sun, going red-giant on us in ~4.7 billion years, or
2. Us, with WMD, anytime at all.

Rev 8:8 And the second angel sounded, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea; and a third of the sea became blood;
Rev 8:9 and a third of the creatures, which were in the sea and had life, died; and a third of the ships were destroyed.
A great amount of sediment thrown up from the bottom of the ocean. ( turned to blood )
Concussion killed the creatures.
Displacement waves destroyed the ships.
Scary HUH?

No doubt a large bible-shaped meteor will crash into earth in 2012, fulfillng the prophecy of both the Christians and the Mayans, thus making everyone enormously happy about being right.

to end them desirable now could require turning alot of sand into glass. are not you worried what the the remainder of the international could say? I understand they could use nuclear weapons against us devoid of hesitation if given the possibility yet you will desire to not be so rapid to signify an action that could require a similar.
