It seems to me that religion is the one area of the human experience that is off limits to critical analysis. We have a benign view of religion, especially in the US, where it is unacceptable to draw any conclusions implying that; to effectively ward off terrorist aggression, we may need to also combat an ideology born of a religion. Can we really pretend that when I guy blows himself up to kill others and become a “Martyr” that his decision has nothing to do with his religious ideology?

You always get them saying this "[Name of belief that isn't christianity] does you family know about your belief?" Ever considered that you aren't the default choice that everyone agrees with (I know that’s what you expect but I though you would have realised it isn’t true) why do you presume that everyone's family will be outraged if their offspring disagree with you? Come on, guys. No one is perfect, and none of you can prove that you're 100% right. Athiests, Christians, Muslims, ANYONE, how can you justify you're right to tell other people they're an idoit? Why don't people just talk to one another instead of arguing? Does it make you feel better about yourselves to take 10 seconds to condemn instead of 10 minutes to explain?

I went to a very conservitive cathloic school, and I hated christianity until I graduated, when a very patient lutheran minister sat me down and answered all my questions, thouroughly and paitently. (it took two years of coffee dates). I'm still not christian, but I can respect the beauty of the real religion now. Why dosen't everyone do that? Why can't we find a minute out of our days to ask a legitimate question or answer one?

Should there be a law or understanding that no religion should put down others? All religions say the other people who dont beleive what they beleive are going to die or burn for eternety, why is this putting down of other people permitted. Where not supposed to put people down for skin color or sexual preference, but we can put people down and say what will happen when they die based on a beleif. Why are people not only sure their beleifs are right but so confident their is a heaven and that there going and they can say whos getting in and who has to burn in hell. So should there be a understanding that you keep your personal beleifs to yourself, stop spreading your word and let people live their lives how they want and beleive what they want. If you want to smoke marijuana and play video games or sit at home reading the bible and singing hymms that is your choice, stop trying to get people to live your life. This is not aimed at all religious people just the ones who bother everyone

Does this seem...a bit extreme? That people are 'going to hell' for reading Harry Potter? I don't see what's bad about it, it's a series about a boy's adventures and how he copes with coming of age in a magical world. But Harry and the books aren't evil---Hitler's evil, killing thousands of children and laughing is evil. A series about a boy wizard determined to defeat the 'Dark Side' is evil? He's trying to defeat 'evil'.
So what's all the hype about? What do you think about this? Please respond...even if you're just going to say I'm going to Hell for doubting God, or something. Thanks.

Let's say our unregenerate person was to meet with the pastor the following day and would have gotten saved. God knew what he would have done had he lived. Did God plan his death so that he would not be saved? Is this predestination?

How on earth is someone "born again"? they only get one body. and its not like their mind is gonna be changed just because you announce their "born again". Honestly, you people make crackheads seem normal.

Where in the Bible does it say that people die and become angels? Wouldn't that be blaming God for their death? Don't the religious leaders believe with the Bible says - that God is Omnipotent??? If he is all-powerful, why would he need mere humans to help him? It doesn't make sense. God is complete within himself. He allows us to have a relationship with him out of love. Nothing else.
