The type of guy that builds a new building with his name on it at his old high school? The kind of guy that adopts 10 kids and feeds the the needy? the type of guy that gives people jobs and heals his family and people around him? the type of guy that give a ton of money away and becomes a governor or monsignor?

Maybe it is just me being a bit picky, but has anyone noticed that a large amount of questions and answers left by religious people are grammatically incorrect, poorly spelt, and quite incoherant.

Surely if you are trying to show people that they are intellectually inferior to you (because they don't have god), then isn't having a basic grasp of the english language the first requirement?

Now I know this is a generalisation. There are some very intelligent and capable theists out there, but there are some who let down your side. And I also know that there are some atheists who are the same. It just seems to be more theists.

The Bible clearly approves of slavery in many passages, and it goes so far as to tell how to obtain slaves, how hard you can beat them, and when you can have sex with the female slaves.

'However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way.
