I believe it does because that keep the people following it. Fear is a heck of a motivator. I mean most religions teach a hell and I think some really dont teach it. But others make it seem like it is taught by not understanding scripture. I mean who would still serve if there was no hell and no punishment. would you still live the same way? I mean it seems like so much fear is taught.

There is a story in the Islamic history about prophet Muhammed who TORTURED a man (with the name Kynana Ibn Al Rabie) to tell the Muslims about the location of a treasure that his people entrusted him to hide from Muslims.

Does this mean that Islam also allows for torturing prisoners of war (just like what mericans did in Abu Gharib)?

Should we ask when we pray for healing, if it is God's will for us to be healed. I thought this was a sign of having little faith. Why would it not be God's will for us to be healed? Also, does sickness and suffering that comes into one's life only come from the enemy? Does God ever use his great power to put us through sufferings in our life or does he only allow the enemy to do it? Sometimes I feel like I am praying for nothing if it's not God's will for the situation to be better but I have been tought to always pray and never give up as long as it is a prayer that agrees with the bible. Help Please, I am confused. God Bless.

I keep hearing people think that churches should be taxed. So, if this happens, how will that make it so that more money goes to the poor and needy. Most churches I know do set aside money for external ministries and missions.

So, to those of you who believe that churches should be taxed, how will that help the poor and needy???

all other forms of business are taxed, why not religion? it is, after all, the biggest business there is. why, the vatican alone holds billions of dollars worth of real estate, priceless artifacts, antiques and works of art and collects billions more in 'contributions' from the faithful. if all this 'income' were taxable, think of the suffering and misery that money could help to lift up the masses of people around the globe who find themselves in utterly dire circumstances. tax religion now! let it put its money where its mouth is!

Why does every paranormal/supernatural event happen where modern cameras and recording devices cannot find them. Most religious texts involve plain-sight miracles and supernatural happenings, events not open to denial and interpretation. The only questioning was if the source was good or evil. I've searched for a documentable faith-healing, supernatural plague or ghost finding none. They only happen where it can only be recorded by word-of-mouth and folklore. The closest thing we have to any proof of any paranormal thing is some hard questions on UFOs (Delphos, Kansas). Do any religious texts state that miracles and supernatural happenings will stop or do they speak of these things like we should expect them?

The bible has been translated from ancient languages no longer in common use. How can you be sure that the translation is accurate when there are so many words that can be translated in different ways?

Isn't there even a slim possibility that your beliefs may be tainted by inaccuracies in the translation?

I see a lot of questions out here denying Christ and it blows my mind. When you truly accept Jesus Christ as you lord and personal savoir you will not deny him no more. I was blinded in sin for so long but I know now im going to heaven and going to see Jesus and I can’t wait to go who is going with me.

There is a prophetic statements told by prophet Muhammed (narrated by both Bukhary and Muslim) where prophet Muhammed told the Jews in Medina that if they did not embrace Islam he would kick them out of their lands.

Was not that some kind of racism to kick people out of their lands based on their religion or belief?
