Absolutely! And I believe it is feasable, just like the *add to your contacts* button was created, I don't see why Y!A could not put an *ignore this person button*!
Bravo, great idea!!!!!

I don't know...sometimes the report abuse button is good to have. What I think they need is a better way for the people at Yahoo to look into the alleged violations. I think they should also do something to discipline the people who abuse the "report abuse" function by reporting things simply because they disagree with them or because they have something against the person in general.

That is an outstanding idea. Then people can shutoff age inappropriate content and intolerant people would no longer be able to abuse the report flags by using them delete posts for ideological reasons rather than the content. We all know that some people using this site try to get accounts deleted if they do not like a person's beliefs. We all know know that this is wrong and most of us want it stopped. Peace be with you

No. They should make an "ignore this person" button IN ADDITION to "report abuse".

The coding involved would make it problematic at best. I do think a moderator should look at the question, or answer, and determine if it really is abuse, before just assuming, though

that would be great! and the people that you have on ignore can't answer your questions either & can't see your profile.
that would rock. i'm very disgruntled about the whole thing--i had my id deactivated that i'd had for 10 yrs & lost important business contact & correspondences, and i didn't even violate TOS. it's being looked into, but still... it's been two weeks now.

They should make the button say "Shock this person".
Then have it set up so that when you click it, it reports all of your own answers as violations.

I think it's a good idea.
To keep the whiney tattle tales happy they should also add an "I'm gonna tell your mom" button.
