Couldn't the threat of being condemned to hell by God be considered an act of terrorism?

Herman you are dead wrong. Telling your son that jumping off a cliff will kill him is not the same, if he jumps from a high place, gravity causes him to fall a long distance and the impact will obliterate him.
If you disobey a direct order from some infallible being HE HIMSELF will condemn you to an eternity of torture. Sounds a bit like he is FORCING you to follow HIS rules.
I personally believe it's a bunch of phooey, and was merely pointing out the fact that in the bible God is a vindictive prick on a power trip.

Now that is a new one and really a great way to put it! Since that condemnation is really a threat and a way to spread fear, anger and rage around the world, it is an act of terrorism.

Terrorism and everything else we view as wrong has been brought into existence by Man and justified as laws which are condemned by society. Pitting them with the meaning of what any such god would even think is illogical, because (s)he / they could have really different perspectives on what good and bad mean.
Only the ignorant would try and rationalise things as being the work of god or satan.

Is a warning sign on a high voltage transformer an act of terrorism?? God doesn't threaten us. He warns us, and gives us everything we need to steer clear of the danger. If we stupidly choose to ignore the warning and all the information He has provided, then we can hardly blame God for the consequences.

God doesn't threaten you with Hell, he WARNS you. Big difference. If i tell my son not to jump off a cliff because he'll die, am I threatening him? No I'm giving him a loving warning, and thats What God does.... He warns you that if you don't go to heaven you are in the outer darkness, which we know as HEll and you will suffer there without his light and Love.

It can be considered a threat whether Hell is real or not. If someone believes that it is real, it is still a threat. It could also be considered coercion if the threat is used to make someone do or say what you want them to do or say, or extortion if you profit by it. As far as it being an act of terrorism, I don't think so. I think it's more along the lines of fear-mongering.

Yes, unless he has already chosen His own and left the unregenerate in their sins. Then it's not a threat.

yep but god is a fascist dictator who has no problem with mass genocide. Look at what happened to satan when he questioned god he got banished. Sounds like a dictatorship to me. Also the way he had no problem with drowning billions of his "beloved children". And yet he has the cheek to call himself benevolent. Well I call him fictitious. Say no to jesus
