Should there be a law or understanding that no religion should put down others? All religions say the other people who dont beleive what they beleive are going to die or burn for eternety, why is this putting down of other people permitted. Where not supposed to put people down for skin color or sexual preference, but we can put people down and say what will happen when they die based on a beleif. Why are people not only sure their beleifs are right but so confident their is a heaven and that there going and they can say whos getting in and who has to burn in hell. So should there be a understanding that you keep your personal beleifs to yourself, stop spreading your word and let people live their lives how they want and beleive what they want. If you want to smoke marijuana and play video games or sit at home reading the bible and singing hymms that is your choice, stop trying to get people to live your life. This is not aimed at all religious people just the ones who bother everyone

Very well written, people should not put down others, but they are also expected to defend themselves and their faith from slander and hate. There is no need for laws if there were respect, but you cant have respect without understanding, and you cant have understanding by being ignorant. So laws should be made to educate everyone in the most basic prinicples of each religion, and then one should start googling the rest. We are in the information age, use it.

Ha. What if I made up a religion that said I have the right to kill anyone I don't like? But under your new law, you can't ever tell me I'm wrong or stop me from carrying out my religion.
Religions are based on a LACK of evidence. There is no reason to even respect such a belief, MUCH LESS not insult one or question it.

Absolutely not. It is very important to speak out on what we believe in. While one would hope people would be mature and sensitive enough to be tolerant, we cannot dictate that by law. In addition, there are some beliefs we should NOT be tolerant of, e.g. Fred Phelps and his crew. I highly prize our freedom to think how we choose and speak our minds. This freedom should never be limited, even for a good intention.

I want to smoke pot and play video games!!!But I really like to spend all of my free time forcing my religious beliefs down your throat. It really makes toast brown on both sides.Really people just love to think that their opinion really matters to some one. When it comes to religious faiths, people have a tendency to repeat what they have seen and heard.Literally a herd mentality. So be patient, sooner or later you'll find your niche in life.No one else has an opinion that matters more than your own.

A major factor in any religion is believing that yours is most correct. If it wasn't, what would be the point?
When you believe that you are right, you want to spread it to others.
I think it's wrong for people to hound each other about religion, but I do support people in trying to spread their faith.
