My male cat doesn't have any religious conscience because I feed him, take care of him, love him and as a "thank you my princess!" he bites and scratches me. Faithless cat.

St. Francis believed that all of Creation gives glory to God by being a part of creation. Francis praised God for the sun and moon and stars and fire. He blessed the birds and thanked them for their song and saw them as praising God in their song. Since we do not know how much animals understand, we can not answer your question.

Some non-human animals have been shown to behave in ways that imply superstition. So I suppose it might be possible for some (non-human) animals of higher intelligence to have a rudimentary belief in a god-like supernatural force.
