Lord,
Make me an instrument of thy peace
Where there is hatred, let me sow love ,
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith:
Where ther is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light; and
Where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much
Seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood and to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and
It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

St Francis of Assisi

Did god intelligently design women to bleed and cry on the first go around? If so, I think he's evil.... I hate crying women. I get all consolatory and it annoys me.

My cousin (Who preaches the word and is all Godly, bless him) and I have had a few debates on religion, and I just cannot fathom it foir many reasons. He respects that and we have some great conversations. He said he can see God in me and by my questions to him, it makes him a better Christain and opens his eyes to new beliefs and reinforces some old ones. Is he a hidden gem, or are you all like that?

"But if I should be delayed, you should know how to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of truth."
- 1 Tim 3:15

Jesus tells us that when we disagree we are to take our dispute to THE Church (Matt. 18:17). He didn't say A Church.

Jesus founded only one Church (Matt. 16: 18-19) that was to preach the gospel to all nations (Mark 28:19).

"The Church" began being called "The Catholic Church" as early as the year 110 A.D. by a Bishop and martyr of the early Church who had received instruction directly from at least one or two of the orgininal 12 Apostles.

"...Wherever the bishop appears, let the people be there, just as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church."
St. Ignatius of Antioch, Letter to the Smyrnaeans, 8:1-2, AD 107

Saint Ignatius was Bishop of Antioch, the first place that the term "Christian" began being used to describe followers of Christ. He was killed for his faith in Christ.

A lot of people in this section seem to be looking for proof of evolution by reproducing it in a lab... I hope this helps!!!

OK!!!
1) Obtain a gene splicing machine. The cost millions of dollars, are enormous, and take a lifetime of learning to use.
2) Learn how to use gene splicing machine.
3)Obtain super computer to calculate genetic sequences, this may cost in the region of billions.
4)Learn how to operate super computer.
5)Splice up some genes from like, some cells, from some animals.
6) Put in a preheated oven, and WAIT MILLIONS OF YEARS.

Oh, yea... About that... Sorry! Oops! Thing about evolution peeps, you can't recreate it in a lab, unless you have a couple of million years or so to spare!

Does that help much?!

People use "Jesus Christ!!!" as an exclamation of dissapointment or surprise...
How do you think Jesus would feel that people shout out his name when ever something bad or shocking happens?

And how would YOU feel if 2000 years from now, people started shouting your name out when something bad happpens?

I am an atheist. But, If I were going to follow something, it would be satan. He makes the most sense, and is not a little whining baby. I have noticed that christians get almost violent if you say anything positive about the devil. But, I think he might just be misunderstood. Give him a shot, he just might surprise you, and be a nice guy.

Or any other religion that doesn't drink coffee or tea. Then why is it okay to eat chocolate?

And if you can't have any drugs cause you could possibly get addicted, then technically you can't eat, run, and have sex neither? all these are proven addictive

How come Christians will only believe those visions that are in accord with the Bible? What if God came to you and said something in contradiction to the Bible? You wouldn't believe it? No Christian would? It's Satan? The Bible is true because it says it is true? Does your faith lie in God or in the words of fallible men?

No disrespect intended, but why do they (so often) put their religion ahead of their personal feelings? I don't mean this in a horrible way, but if Islam is so great then why does it condone such cruelty? And why is it that it's followers are so utterly blind to any argument? Closed minds? No freedom of thought? Just blind sheep mentality without possibility of argument?

99% of the time I think that they stuff they say makes sense but when it comes to personal freedom it's like, you do what you're told or they kill you! Even if you're their son or daughter...

Like I said. No offence but I'm curious?

We know the universe is expanding because as galaxies move further away from us, the wavelengths grow shorter and appear to be red- that's called the law of the red shifts. Does this mean anything to you spiritually?

Also, the universe is expanding at an accelerating rate (the empty space between galaxies), which is only possible if there is some sort of force pulling on it. No one knows what this force is although there are several hypothesis. Do you take this to be some sort of spiritual thing?
