My cousin (Who preaches the word and is all Godly, bless him) and I have had a few debates on religion, and I just cannot fathom it foir many reasons. He respects that and we have some great conversations. He said he can see God in me and by my questions to him, it makes him a better Christain and opens his eyes to new beliefs and reinforces some old ones. Is he a hidden gem, or are you all like that?

True Christians see ALL human beings as children of God. Jesus Christ dies for ALL our sins. Since all people are the children of God and are our brothers we must treat them accordingly. Anyone who says anything else is going against the gospel.

I see God in everyone I meet. Each person can surprise you with moments of pure love and pure good intention if you provide them the right environment to do it, and expect the best of them at all times. Especially important is not forcing religion down their throats - that just makes all people defensive... no matter what their persuasion. I think all people basically want the same things: To love and be loved. To be a part of a community where people help each other. To see others for all they COULD be, rather than everything they are not. You have to have respect for other's views, as God is working in each individual at that individual's level and cares for each person's spiritual growth.

I don't know if everyone is like that, but my friends who don't believe, I still see God in them. He created us all and whether everyone believes it or not, He is in there. There is good in everyone (some it's harder to see) and that is God working in them. I actually had one person on here questioning me by email and I loved it. They made me a better Christian by helping me understand their points and look thru the Bible myself again for information. I don't understand it all myself and have questioned preachers when I needed to. I have accepted Christ into my heart and have faith. I don't think it's wrong to question things, and I do believe there are somethings we just won't understand until we meet Him face to face. And like my mom always tells me, by then I'll probably forget all about it. It just won't matter.
But I would say your cousin is definitely a gem!
