Lord,
Make me an instrument of thy peace
Where there is hatred, let me sow love ,
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith:
Where ther is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light; and
Where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much
Seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood and to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and
It is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

That's my favorite prayer and my favorite saint. It is a prayer for letting go of personal gratification and justification in order to be an instrument through which God can express love for others. It's so inspiring.

I think it is a beautiful prayer. With so much selfishness in the world today, this prayer is a good way to ask God to help us avoid giving into that selfishness. Compassion and care for others is becoming rare these days.

God bless,
Stanbo

I love this prayer, I used it at a special occasion. There is also music for this prayer. If more people practiced it in life, we would have a much better world.

There is nothing in the prayer one can't do on one's own.

But great sentiment. Go for it.
