JCLDS...I use this acronym to reference the Mormon church on the principle that it is Christ's church, thus why exclude JC from the acronym...

A couple of examples of esoteric Mormonism:
The concept of Heavenly Father protecting Heavenly Mother so much, that He doesn't allow anyone else to see her or know her nature

The concept of intelligence preceding soul as explained in Abraham 3

The concept of soul as light.

The concept of salamander as deity

etc, etc, etc....

Sorry, mormons don't actually believe a Salamander is Deity. Joseph Smith believed it early in his 'ministry' (or at least he taught it), but he later adopted the idea that God looks just like you and me, hands, feet, bones, skin, and all.

They also believe that God probably has more than one wife ('Heavenly Mother'), and early leaders taught that Jesus had at least 3 wives.

Some of your information is out of date. The Salamander Letter was a notorious forged document created by Mark Hofmann in the early 1980s.

We do not usually spend much time looking to 'mystical' things. We do study and learn from 'symbolic' things. This is how we can peel back the layers of the onion. The Spirit teaches us while using the scriptures the nature of Heavenly Father. When we have the basic parent child relationship, the understanding of the 'mysteries' is revealed to us.

The name is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Not the Mormon church. Mormon was a prophet who complied the Book of Mormon. Read up on stuff, son.

I've never heard the concept of a salamander being deity...
Everything else sounds right.

You have stumped me. What are the mystical traditions of the JCLDS--and would this abbreviation mean Jesus Christ Latter-day Saint?

From the gist of your question I'd say you've been badly misinformed on Mormon doctrine and what the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints follow.

What 'mystical tradition' is being asked about currently in the above question by the asker?

I can't believe you are still thinking that stuff about salamanders. That has been proven to be forgery by Mark Hoffmann. Hoffmann confessed it.
