He had a misconception that only Germans were Aryans and Jews were not. He was jealous of their opulence.

The Jews were an easy, and importantly, very easily identifiable target. Hitler merely capitalized on a Jew-hating sentiment which was already present in Germany at the time. I don't believe he really hated them as much as he used them by convincing people that the Jews were responsible for the social/economic collapse in Germany. In reality, this was more a result of the general depression following WWI.

apparently hitler hated jews because he blamed us for inventing morality:
"The Ten Commandments have lost their validity…Conscience is a Jewish invention. It is a blemish like circumcision…"
- Adolph Hitler (Herman Rauschning, Hitler Speaks, p. 220)
hitler in public claimed to be a devout christian but this was a ploy. as soon as the jews were gone, he was going to make sure christianity was gone too:
We are the joyous Hitler youth,
We do not need any Christian virtue
Our leader is our savior
The Pope and Rabbi shall be gone
We want to be pagans once again."
- Song sung by Hitler youth
"The heaviest blow which ever struck humanity was Christianity; Bolshevism is Christianity's illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew."
- Norman Cameron and R.H. Stevens, translators, (Oxford, 1953), Hitler's Table-Talk, p. 7

Hitler was a control freak whack job. He scapegoated jews to unify the germans against something. He may have murdered 6 million jews, but there were a few million more he erradicated (Poles, Russians, Gypsys, gays, the mentally ill, etc, the list goes on.

I think this had alot to do with his mother. See hitlers mother died from ovarian cancer ( think thats correct ) her dr was a jew and his mother died and he was a big mommas boy
BUT there is one book called the berlin diaries where a journalist followed hitler around and when hitler would get mad he would chew on the carpet where ever he was. I think hitler was off his rocker and plus he was pissed off that germany had surrendered and left the country in ruin which also fueled his hate
and remember Japans generals and drs( at their own camps ) in some cases where a helluva alot worse than what hitler did. The japanese would do experiments to see if they could turn peoples eyes blue and crap

Certain peoples believe that the jewish control all the money. Somewhere back there deep in history the jews must have been better budgeters than everyone else and other people got jealous of this. I think I read somewhere that Hitler was actually part jewish himself, can't be sure of that one.
Anyway once he got rid of anyone controlling money better than him, it made it easier for him to take power over the people. Thats what despots do, they make the people weak and poor so as they can twist their minds.

The Nazis were jealous that the Jews had the riches and the main businesses, and a great life. Some Jews were successful and held powerful positions in Austria and Germany in the 1920s and 1930s.
Germans (including Hitler) absorbed some of their parents' racism. Anti-Semitism has a long history, since the Christian religion blamed the death of Christ on the Jews. Hitler was a fanatical Christian and his crazy beliefs were presented in the "Mein Kampf"

He allowed for the controlling of his personality structures and mind-set to prevail in the quest for his wishes of power.
I believe neither the on-set of the perpetuation of hatred sewn by some at the time, and inundated into Hitler's psyche of personality, and then the circumstances which came from this hatred, or behaviors it caused, helped us, at all in any efforts as a race of humans, unless we were trying to look less intelligent as a race.
