Baha'i is a pretty chill religion. I know quite a few Persian Baha'is and their families are really great and they all really like their faith. It's very open-minded, so if there were any issues with you guys marrying, it would come from his side.

Don't listen to your friends, you know your boyfriend more than they do. However if I were you I wouldn't be thinking about marriage if aren't really sure you guys are meant for each other.

I am a Baha'i who knows many Baha'is who are married to people who are not Baha'is. Two of the primary beliefs of the Baha'i Faith are the oneness of humanity and the oneness of religion. As you may know one quote from the Writings is:

"Consort with the followers of all religions in a spirit of friendliness and fellowship."
Baha'u'llah

However, raising children can sometimes be a challenge for parents of different religions - it would probably be a good idea to talk about these things before going forward.

This is all to say go for it and good luck!

My aunt is Baha'i and her husband is Christian. She converted to Baha'i a few years ago. But they're happily married. I don't see why it should be a problem.

I am sure his Faith will not stand in the way of you getting married, that is the last thing you have to be worry about.

"Baha'u'llah taught that there is only one God and one human family, that all religions represent progressive stages in the revelation of God's Will, and that humanity is reaching its long-awaited stage of maturity, when a peaceful and just world order can finally be realized."

Good Luck
