My faith/church/religion is a huge part of my life. I love church and I love God. I cannot imagine my life without this, it brings me so much peace and comfort. I have recently realized that a very good friend of mine, for whom I have a lot of respect and admiration is pretty opposite of how I feel. She is spiritual but doesn't have a belief system/church and doesn't like dogma. But I feel that there is so much more than dogma.

I do not want to be pushy or try to force my religion on her at all, I do not want to try to convert her by any means, I am not even completly sure of what I believe!! So I don't know how to ask why she feels this way without being offensive. I think that maybe there's not an answer that is easy, the reasons why religion is so important to me are not that easy. I just truly do not understand and really want to. Please tell me what your thoughts, opinions, and personal experiences are on this.

Prior to the first Guf war I discoverd a large underworld Satanic organization in my home town. I started to tell people about what I discoverd, this was the beginning of the rest of my life! Soon I was followed and watched, and was receiving verbal death threats against myself and family memburs. This organization forces ans seduces its victims into playing occult games and practices, thus placeing them into spiritual bondage to witch craft/Demonic forces. Then they are forced to go threw a trancendental meditation ceremony with aid of Witchcraft this is how the Spiritual mark of the Beast is aquired. I was attacked three times by a Demon at night durring the war when said oil wells were lit on fire. The third time attacked I commanded the demon to leave in the name of Jesus. This is when this Demon took his Tail placed it on my left hand and sent waves of fire threw my soul. No LIe! Locust=Scorpion Demon the first woe has passed behold two more are yet to come.Beware of Secret Socie

Love your God/god with all that is in you.
Love your fellow humans. Do to them as you would have them do in return.
All mankind (male and female) is created equal.
What you sow you will reap.

I had this dream where me and my ex were talking and making plans to hang out, it was weird because, I'm sure he pretty much hates me right now, so the possibility of us talking is very limited. Also, I had another dream where I stole two of his cell phones, he figured out it was me and then I returned them and he wasn't even mad. It was weird, what do these mean? Serious responses only.

I hear people say things like " The Truth of Jesus Christ " and stuff like that all the time. But is it the Truth? Do they know it because they feel it? Do they feel it because they know it?

I tend to use the word Truth differantly.

I can have Faith that my car will get me to work today.
I can Believe that my car will get me to work today.
I will not KNOW that my car will get me to work today until it actually gets me to work.

And thats the Truth.

Wouldnt this make God depended on humans to acknowledge his/her/it existence? I know that mathematics or numbers can exist even if human reasoning became extinct (2 + 2 still = 4 even if there is no one to acknowledge it) but it seems God needs humans to worship him/her/it to exist in the material world.

Romans 3:7
If my falsehood enhances God's truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?

Corinthians 9:20-22
To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. 22To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.

Phillipians 1:18
The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached.

So, he admits lying for his own ends....I wonder which parts of the bible he was lying about?

If the gold plates never existed, how did Joseph get numerous witnesses to stand by their stories until their dying day, even when some of them later became angry with Joseph and left the Church?

Betty Boop asked a question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AvFD8wnirL5AdgwuIRE_Y7vd7BR.?qid=20070309105311AAT0qlA where it seemed as if she met some people who actually believed this Onion article http://www.theonion.com/content/node/39512 "Evangelical Scientists Refute Gravity With New 'Intelligent Falling' Theory".

I remember waiting for a professor who had http://www.theonion.com/content/node/27720 "Bush Sends Troops to West Nile" on his door, and a girl read it and got really angry about Bush's warmongering tendencies.

So, have you ever observed anyone believing an Onion article?

Well, one scientific explanation that was given was that these people might have been just remembering their birth, as the brain was not functioning properly. The tunnel, being while they were being born and the light is when there were already born and were in a bright environment. Yes, I want to believe in life after death, but I have to ask, all these people who had these Near Death Experience, and believe that there is a life after death, another dimension, how can they be not sure that it was not a dream, a hallucination, side effects of the anesthesia. I mean, these people who experienced these NDE, they are still alive, so it could mean that it might have been just a dream because at that time, your brain is still functioning, and if the brain was not functioning at all, the these people would be dead (in most cases). So what do people really think about these NDEs, are they just wistful thinking, a hallucination or is there another dimension that we are unaware of and if that there is life after death.

I learned today that road rage incidents are not a modern occurrance. The first recorded case of road rage is found in the Greek tragedy "Oedipus Rex", when Oedipus killed a man on the road who refused to get out of his way (this man turned out to be his father, thus making the Oracle true - Oedipus would murder his father...)

So, in an effort to remember our heritage, should we perhaps change "Road Rage" to "Oedipus Wrecks?"
